I concur with the Samsung issues. Mine stopped playing BDs in just over a year. Their PQ is good but their longevity isn't. So that leaves Panasonic. I believe that the 330 does access Netflix 3D. (Or so I've heard.) And with 2 HDMI outputs (and a better price than the previously mentioned manufacturers), it's probably the best way to go. |

Picked up a Pioneer BDP450 for a silly price last week and it's off being modded for multi region playback as I write. I also just purchased an Enhance Firmware Update disc for my Panasonic DMP-BDT310. So hopefully by Monday I will have 2 multi-region 3D BD Players with dual HDMI. Can finally get rid of my Panasonic DMP-BD75 Region A player. Anyone in the UK interested in buying it, PM me.

Zodiak: I have the same AVR , using PS3 and a JVC projector that has 2 HDMI inputs. I run HDMi to projector and optical to receiver. you will not get the HD audio formats but eventually I will buy a player that has 2 hdmi outputs. For tv to pj, I run wire from tv to receiver and receiver to pj. I will be looking at the recommendations from this post also. Let us kow which player you choose.

I'm glad to see this thread has been bumped. I'm once again considering adding a 3D blu-ray player, but would need one with dual HDMI outputs, as my Pio Elite SC-25 can not pass through 3D 1080p video. I'm not looking to pay the price for an Oppo. I would prefer to stick with Sony, Panasonic, or Pioneer. Is anyone currently making a dual HDMI output player that doesn't cost a fortune?

I'll just wait until all the dancing is over with the sound standards, and video standards (wonder what 4K 3-D will require), and then get a receiver. Until then, my 3-D library can wait, or I'll just listen to it lossless. All this money-grab nonsense is tiring. |

I had a Samsung bd-c7900.... I was getting skipping issues with my retail bought 3D blu rays. I recently bought the S790. And it's been perfect! Even plays bd-r's perfectly. Samsung,Panasonic and Sony all make dual hdmi outs. Usually it's their top of the line model.

Another solution is a HDMI splitter. Monoprice has them. The company has several models to choose from so take a look and seek the solution that is best in your situation.

I have just bought a new tv and have since started having issues with av sync when playing a blu ray through my LG player. There are functions to correct it on my av receiver but it still isn't right. I didn't have any issues with my previous plasma and all that I have done is change the display. The other equipment, cables and setup remains the same. Rather than upgrading the bd player or receiver, I could get one of these to split the audio and video and send video directly to the tv and audio to the receiver. Has anyone tried this? |
