If I get stuck on a certain race then I'll pop on to gtplanet and take a look at some of the tunes people have uploaded there and try them out. The only one I really struggled with in the new races was I think at Brands Hatch with one of formula 1500 cars I think. Really couldn't pass the final car until I picked up a tune for the car. |

The Spa that is fantastic is the historic Spa from Project Cars 2 and originally from Grand Prix Legends (PC). 1967 Lotus 49 run on that track is the bomb; 180mph, no downforce, shitty tires + brakes, bouncy suspension, sitting in a tub surrounded by volatile fuel, and roll-over bar that's too short. Eau Rouge with no run off? Downhill fast corkscrew at Malmedy? Threading the sliding tin can through Masta kink at 160+mph? Fast, off-throttle banked killer at Stavelot? What a thrill! You needed stainless steel balls to drive fast there. There are few fantasy tracks in GTS and other racing games but no track comes close to the excitement of the old historic/classic Spa Francorchamps, IMO, Nordschleiffe included. Anyways, Spa is a good addition to GTS. |

Finished up the endurance races and was still a few million short of the 20million I wanted so started grinding Blue Moon using the X Bow nocked down to an N300. Takes 12mins to complete a lap and you get 150% bonus for using an underpowered car and you get the clean race bonus so you end up with something like 350k credits per race and just under 9k exp.
Decided to buy the Ford Mark IV to use in th Nostalgic 1979 races as they are the only ones I have left to do now. It's a long way to level 50 by the looks. Apparently reacing level 35 is only 5% of the exp needed to hit level 50 lol But I'm at 44¾ so I'm gonna keep pushing and aim to buy all cars along the way. |

I'll do 350k/12 minute race. It's better than my LPM1 grind which was 220k/10 minutes (330k if clean). N300 should be less hectic and I find slower cars much more enjoyable to race. I haven't even paid attention to my level. If L35 is 5% of L50 and you are at L44.75, I should be somewhere around L40. Just for the heck of it I put down some Time Trial laps at Spa using N100 '15 MX-5 on Hard Sports tires. First lap 3:14s and improved to 3:09.9s. Tonight I'm planning on trying Soft Sports tires to see if how they affect top speed & cornering speeds. The car was right on the 4th gear red line at 109mph at the end of the Kemmel straight climb. Cornering & braking should improve but I'm wondering if the top speed will drop a little due to stickier compound... Last edited by GRD43L; 11-05-2019 at 05:19 PM. |

Had a VR race around Spa using the Mercedes F1 car, that was great fun! Such a shame it's only against one other car though.

2. Blue Moon race, as in the oval? That was the only race I could find. 3. Spa + N100 '15 MX-5 + Hard Sports Tires: 3:09.x 4. Spa + N100 '15 MX-5 + Soft Sports Tires: 3:06.x, top speed not affected by soft tires I am scared of F1s, way too fast for me... VR must be great! |

It's different in VR, because you see the corners coming in 3D, you brake very naturally. What always strikes me though is the varying elevation around the tracks, there are some big slopes in some.
Visually it looks better on a Pro, but doesn't compare to the game in 2D on a 4k TV! It's good enough for now though. Roll on PSVR2! |

Just hit level 47, so that means I have around 1,226,518exp to get to hit level 50.
Based on clean race bonus on Blue Moon that is 149 wins to go, 12 mins a race = 1,784 mins, so about 30 hours to hit level 50 and that's only if all 149 races get the clean race bonus ![]() |

So i'm watching the episodes of Fast N Loud that feature Aaron Kaufman doing the Pikes Peak Hill Climb, and thought it was awesome. I got to thinking if the track had been featured in any video games, and i discovered that it was in Gran Turismo 2 and one of the Dirt series. Out now turns out that has exclusivity with PPD (apparently) as they sponsor the event. Codemasters has said they can't use the track any more, so any word of it coming to GT Sport?
