Weirdly, when I checked our new game offers on our older PS4, Just Cause 4 could only be downloaded. There was no option for adding to my library, unlike the other free game of the month. So I couldn't claim it on that console and didn't want to download it there, since it's not the console I'll be playing it on. The storage is too full anyway, since 90GB of space is no longer adequate to download even a 15 GB game. On our PS4 Pro both add to library and download options were available though.
Is Just Cause 4 worth sticking it out? I tried Just Cause 3 a couple times, but couldn't get into it, and so far this is looking like an only slightly improved version of that. I'm not used to this run-and-gun-only style of play, preferring the likes of FarCry, Days Gone, Uncharted, etc. But so far the story AND characters have been extremely insipid and the graphics in the cutscenes were not scaled well at all and don't look that promising even if they weren't riddled with compression and motion artifacts. The gameplay seems better, at least so far as less artifacting. So I'm just wondering if there's anything worth taking the time to acclimate to the style of play. Or if what you get in the first hour of play is as good as it gets, for the single-player anyway. I haven't investigated the multiplayer, assuming it even has one. How do you save a PS5 exclusive through a PS4? I found the other two freebies through the PS Store link - still don't know why they are no longer showing up via the PS Plus icon this month - but Maneater wasn't among them even there.

Use the PS App on your phone to still add games to your download list.
