That would be great, actually. There should be a Star Wars subsection in the forums broken up by trilogies or even films. It’d be also nice to make some rules around them as to what can be discussed regarding spoilers and stuff.

I'd have one thread for general Star Wars discussion, one for each trilogy, and one for each of the other movies and series.

There's a lot that can be cleaned up around here that I think would be helpful (Why have a polls subsection but a ranking thread clogs up the movies), and have a sub section for pre-release movies, and one for released movies.

But I'm just a lowly nobody with dumb opinions lol

Watched the whole series again on blu ray and blu ray 3D back to back (including Rogue One and Solo in order).

Rise of Skywalker has some good moments, but I can't help but think the movie was tailored to meet internet fan expectations after the divided fan base with Last Jedi instead of them just making their own film as with the prior 2 films.

I can see Abrams and his writers likely had to rush the Rise script out the door as there is plenty of room for improvement. It feels like a first draft at times. Things just happen without much payoff if any. Unlike in Abrams' Star Trek Into Darkness, which is really well-written IMO based on early events that affect things and then really pay off later in the film, as the characters/plot links back to it.

The writing in Last Jedi felt much more solid and well-written IMO. Thought out. With the exception of the flawed Finn/Rose subplot that fizzled out. But even that had a point to it regarding Benicio's crooked/indifferent character.

Force Awakens they had plenty more time to get that one's script ironed out nicely.

Finn's got two ways of communicating in the Star Wars films, yelling or talking. Most times he's yelling "Reeeeeeyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!!!" Last Jedi, he seemed to relax a bit more thankfully. But Rise, he was back to yelling as in Force Awakens. He's a good actor, but overacts in those scenes. I'm sorry, that's just an opinion. He's not like that in Pacific Rim 2 thankfully when I saw that in theaters.

Totally agree! Watched the entire Star Wars film series on my new projector this month.

Got an affordable but excellent movie digital projector that can project from my PS3 via HDMI, so it'll play blu rays, DVDs and blu ray 3D films (with shutter glasses on), projected onto my wall. Picture on wall is over 100" and epic. I feel like I'm watching in a mini movie theater. Amazing. The 3D projection is great too (with USB rechargeable DLP shutter glasses). I haven't tried it with my PS5's UHD player yet, but I bet it'll work fine.

TV is one thing, but for movies, the projector is unbeatable and epic.
Can get up to 15,000 hours if I stay in super-eco mode. Eco mode is bright, super eco mode not as bright, and normal and dynamic are the brightest but will use the replaceable bulb faster.

ViewSonic 503W for $360 brand new.

Agree that Last Jedi is at least passable if not decent overall whereas Rise is unwatchable. Finns character is horribly managed after a solid start in the first film. Boyega didn’t have much to work with but I don’t think the guy is that great. Neither is Ridley. Adam Driver is the star of the series.

Projectors are great but you really need a man cave or dedicated theater room to make one work. I just couldn’t do it in the living room. The daytime performance still lags behind a good TV. In a dedicated room though? No contest. Projectors win.

If you're happy with your PQ and screen size then Id go for audio upgrades. Im going to probably do both and finally get proper ceiling speakers and go with a 7.1 setup. I cycle between three random movie posters in our little den/dining room next to the living room and that works.

You are right. I have a finished basement that the wife has been kind enough to let me do what I want with. Movie collection on one side and Movie Theater on the other.
