Hehehe, same.

I've been a massive fan since the original. My mum used to come in while I was playing and just roll her eyes. She used to call her "nalgitas" which roughly translates to English from Spanish as "little miss tight ass", haha.

Anyway, that's my cue to leave.

The good old times.

It really sucks that the first games are so dreadful to play on Steam. Someone should remaster them in HD and rework the dodgy functionality.

I would kill to be able to play the classic games on current-gen platforms. Square Enix are seemingly uninterested in utilising their western IPs, though. If all we get for the 25th anniversary is that mobile game, then I'll be ragin'.

Someone dumped a bunch of the files for a lost PSP game that eventually turned into the Anniversary "re-imagining" of TR1 for PS2, etc.

Sigh. That next-gen-ish remaster of the Great Wall level from TRII was lovely.

If they can only do one game, though, it definitely has to be TRIII: to this day, it remains a masterclass in level design and captures everything I love about Classic Lara (right down to the absolutely incidental storyline, lol). Temple Ruins and Coastal Village and Lost City of Tinnos are still incredible rides.

Sophia Leigh is the poor woman's Natla and she knows it.

For years TRII was my favourite, but I replayed the first five games last spring and I've decided that TRIII tops it. It's perfect (aside from the underwater maze in Lud's Gate, omg).

Lud's Gate is pretty agreed upon as one of the most difficult and rage-inducing levels in TR history. I don't disagree; the top-level museum stuff is aces, and the last half where you're essentially crawling and jumping through a crawl-space labyrinth (lol) was a lot of fun, but the underwater controls are ghastly, and the difficulty spike on the enemy AI absurd.

Still, the moment you land on top of the Sphinx head and Nathan McCree's music plays... <Lara's sigh of contentment when she heals>

Props to TRII: Temple of Xian is probably the most perfectly-designed level in the entire series. They don't make 'em like they used to...

His music is indeed magnificent. Shame he turned out to be an utter knob...

Hahaha, why's that? I'd heard rumblings concerning the Suite he made of the music and then sold and performed live (?), but nothing concrete.

He's got an inflated ego and the way he addresses fans is dire. Tracie-Anne Swift (the former project manager of the Tomb Raider Suite) has had a lot to say about him, a good deal of which can be found HERE. He also tried to prevent The Dark Angel Symphony from happening. Needless to say, he's burned a lot of bridges.

Easy. Replace her with the beautiful Camilla Luddington, the original voice actor of our main bish.

New writer/director, omggggggggggg

Quote:
MGM has set Misha Green to write and make her feature directorial debut on the next Tomb Raider, which has Alicia Vikander set to reprise her role as Lara Croft. Green steps up here after creating and directing Lovecraft Country, the breakout HBO series that stars Jurnee Smollett, Jonathan Majors, and Michael Kenneth Williams.

Camilla Luddington. She voiced Lara in the last three TR games.

As desperate as MGM are for a franchise, or even a decent hit, I honestly don't see this one actually happening, unless they're willing to lose money on it.

The first one barely broke even, if it actually did(with that abysmal US gross) and by the time this supposed sequel comes out, the few people who have actually seen the first one will have forgotten of it's existence.
