Hehehe, same.
I've been a massive fan since the original. My mum used to come in while I was playing and just roll her eyes. She used to call her "nalgitas" which roughly translates to English from Spanish as "little miss tight ass", haha. Anyway, that's my cue to leave. |

The good old times.
It really sucks that the first games are so dreadful to play on Steam. Someone should remaster them in HD and rework the dodgy functionality. |

I would kill to be able to play the classic games on current-gen platforms. Square Enix are seemingly uninterested in utilising their western IPs, though. If all we get for the 25th anniversary is that mobile game, then I'll be ragin'.

Someone dumped a bunch of the files for a lost PSP game that eventually turned into the Anniversary "re-imagining" of TR1 for PS2, etc.
Sigh. That next-gen-ish remaster of the Great Wall level from TRII was lovely. If they can only do one game, though, it definitely has to be TRIII: to this day, it remains a masterclass in level design and captures everything I love about Classic Lara (right down to the absolutely incidental storyline, lol). Temple Ruins and Coastal Village and Lost City of Tinnos are still incredible rides. Sophia Leigh is the poor woman's Natla and she knows it. |

Lud's Gate is pretty agreed upon as one of the most difficult and rage-inducing levels in TR history. I don't disagree; the top-level museum stuff is aces, and the last half where you're essentially crawling and jumping through a crawl-space labyrinth (lol) was a lot of fun, but the underwater controls are ghastly, and the difficulty spike on the enemy AI absurd.
Still, the moment you land on top of the Sphinx head and Nathan McCree's music plays... <Lara's sigh of contentment when she heals> Props to TRII: Temple of Xian is probably the most perfectly-designed level in the entire series. They don't make 'em like they used to... |

As desperate as MGM are for a franchise, or even a decent hit, I honestly don't see this one actually happening, unless they're willing to lose money on it.
The first one barely broke even, if it actually did(with that abysmal US gross) and by the time this supposed sequel comes out, the few people who have actually seen the first one will have forgotten of it's existence. |
