It just cannot and will not work as a movie!... Why?, some of you will ask that I am sure, so allow me to summarize with two bullet points:

• First:- Both games were made with cinematic production values! Why water down what makes the franchise so unique by creating a movie about a game, which is for all intents and purposes, already a movie. Just a movie in an interactive form?... OK so I'm sure the scope and scale of a feature length big screen movie would be huge, but (and it is a big but!), we've seen it already. The only difference with an Uncharted movie would be the lack of picking up the control and playing through the action unfolding on screen.
  
• Secondly:- There are dozens of well known adventure movies that already exist in the pop culture consciousness... the biggest of all is of course the Indiana Jones saga! What is the point of throwing money at "another adventure movie" that will simply fade into the background amongst its predecessors?

The Uncharted games are unique, They are movies that allow you to control the action. In essence the player is the director. So please Sony, I beg of you, don't allow the good reputation that Naughty Dog and the Uncharted franchise has accumulated over the last couple of years to be squandered by what I am sure will be a cinematic mistake of proportions that are more epic that Uncharted itself!

I can totally see that. Same wry sense of humor and guy-next-door likability that Drake has, but he looks comfortable running, jumping and shooting stuff.

When you think about it, Uncharted is a lot like a modern-day Indiana Jones, really. Exotic locales. Archaeological adventures. Mysterious... erm... mysteries.

Of course, knowing Hollywood, they'll cast Matthew McOhGodNotAgain as Drake, and Megan Fox as Emily Rose.

Nathan Fillion has the personality down pat...unfortunately, he's probably a little too old for the part. There was a time when I actually thought he was the one doing the voice over for Drake. I seriously thought it was him.

He's only 30. I'm sure he could do it. You guys saying anything other than Fillion are nuts. Seriously. Naughty dog even said they based Drake off of Fillion even. But Nolan North would be satisfactory. Emily rose for Elena, no question. And maybe Bruce Campbell for sully?
