Default Checkerboard

Your owner's manual plainly shows that checkerboard is supported.

LOL, who reads those? we just rip into the packaging, hook up, and start watching, OH, and send in the Avatar 3D card

Well, well, it appears it is supported, I can't believe it, and I had the Panasonic 210 this whole time LOL, so why is Panasonic the only maker that supports checkerboard?

I ordered the DMP-BDT110 based on these and other forums and reviews for this purpose (checkerboard). The model I received is actually the DMP-BDT110P. I don't know what the difference is with the p - doesn't seem to refer to the color, black. However the manual on 3d only says parallel and side by side, nothing about checkerboard, so I am worried. So far I have not been able to get it to work with my Samsung HL67A750A1FXZA. Any one else have the model with the "p" and knows if checkerboard works? And if so, how? My "3d effect" is grayed out so I can not select it to turn it on.

Yes, I answered my own question, it is compatible. I had to go into the Panny set up and select checkerboard there. Also I posted the options from Youtube in my question, not from the Panny, so sorry if I confused anyone. Thanks so much for the heads-up on this blu-ray player.

Default So you got it to work?

I have a Samsung HL67A750A1FXZA. I was told by Samsung tech support that 3D would only work using a computer. Did you actually get the 3d to work using that Panasonic Blu-ray player. If so can you contact me so I can find out exactly what other hardware you used to do it and how you have it hooked up?

Thumbs up

I just set up my Samsung HL61A750 DLP TV to play blu-rays in 3D . It was surprisingly easy to set up.

I am using a Panasonic BDT210 blu-ray player connected to the HDMI3 input of the TV. On my TV model, 3d will only work on the HDMI3 input. I have a 3d IR emitter that I purchased at ultimate3dheaven.com, which has the 3 pin round plug, plugged into the "3D SYNCH OUT" port of the TV. I am using a pair of 3d glasses that I purchased on the same website. I have the blu-ray player set to "Checkerboard" output. Every time I play a 3d blu-ray, I need to set the TV's 3d mode to "Mode 1". The 3d control on the TV is under the "Picture Options" menu.

I have so far only viewed the free 3d demo disc that ultimate3dheaven.com sent with my order. The quality of the footage on the disc is pretty low, but the 3d effect works pretty well. I am expecting a 3d copy of Disney's "Tangled" any day now.

Sorry to revive this old thread lol but my Panny is on its last legs now and I was wondering if any of the newer models support this checkerboard 3D playback? and if not do any other players support it? I am in need of help.

Thanks

Default Checkerboard output?

Hi All,
My Panny BD player is on its way out, so I am wondering is there any new/current players that still support this 3D output? I have an old Mits 65" DLP Diamond and it still provides a beautiful picture so I am not ready to upgrade yet lol, so I am hoping someone here knows of any players that still have this, but it seems like it is not around anymore from what little I could find.

Thanks for any and all help, oh also I would need dual HDMI outs as well.

I have them to but neither support "checkerboard" output, we need a BD player that supports this for our old DLP HDTV's, the old Panasonic players did this but I am not seeing that the newer ones still support this, I just cannot find any definitive answer for this and was hoping someone here would know but it seems not.

Thanks anyways
