I still think the KD, Steph and Klay team was the better offensive trio...and on defense it's not even close...even though Steph is a poor defender like Harden he at least puts more effort into it...

well, we still dont know why Kyrie left to begin with. nothing has been stated by himself or the team...so its all speculation still which imo is worse than at least giving an excuse of some sort.

Harden and Kyrie are nothing but ego maniacs. Harden is an arrogant diva who’s based his whole game on whistles and like Stephen A Smith said, Kyrie thinks he’s on a higher plane of intelligence with his pretentious self righteous crap.

The Nets have already won the Eastern Conference. Only injuries or virus protocol (maybe Kyrie’s antics) can stop them. The rest of the East have all been unofficially eliminated.

i hate Harden as well but if Lakers make the finals, then i hope they get taken out by this mega squad. but everyone needs to slow their roll a bit. never have 3 guys this talented at scoring been on the same team, ever. this could be a disaster waiting to happen or they could make it work and get to the championship. i think that solely relies on Kyrie and Harden. KD option #1...and then those guys need to figure it out.

also, keeping other guys on the team engaged rather than sitting watching Kyrie dribble forever, then Harden dribble and they just sit around.... this is going to be interesting to watch for sure!

If i had my way, it would be Mavs v Heat in the finals with the Mavs taking it home

Funny Harden says the team isn't good enough when he himself has been playing like crap.

Kyrie's trade value has fallen in the last week. Can't see why Houston would want him given his history of team disruptions. Would be like trading one poison for another.

how can you blame the nets though? a backup insurance plan if Kyrie goes off the rails, otherwise, 3 guys with that much talent, pretty hard to pass up.

Yup, I look at it the same way, if the trio doesn't work just flip Kyrie. Again, don't even need a star in return, some solid role plyer/third option type. And it would be especially satisfying if Kyrie ended up on some cellar dweller team. And I agree with you, giving no official reason as to why he is away is not a good look.

It's a good trade for both teams. Harden is insurance for both Kyrie's instability and that both Kyrie and Durant are injury prone.

I think Brooklyn would maximize their talent by having one of them be a 6th man (either Kyrie or Harden). They would all get their share of minutes regardless and would not be in each other's way since only two of them would be on the floor for most of the game (except crunch time).

i was thinking the same thing, have Harden be a 6th man....but i cant see that happening. Melo didnt even want to be a 6th man for the longest time and these guys have way bigger egos than Melo ever had...

As long as Harden got his minutes and played in crunch time then I don't see why it matters that much. He knows the role and when at OKC he played over 30 minutes a game his last season. Besides, he's out of shape and is the new kid on the block and it would only be if both Kyrie and Durant are playing as well. Otherwise Harden would start in one of their places (although if Durant is out, then he or Kyrie would be on the floor at all times to minimize their sharing the ball).

Not sure why Harden needs to be the 6th man. Warriors did fine with Kd, Klay and Step. Nets probably would do something similar. Besides I don't think Kyrie is coming back any time soon. Might even miss the entire year.

Neither Klay or Step is high maintenance like Kyrie...

Feel really bad for Allen among all involved. He goes from playing for a potential title contender with major PT, to now buried on the bench in Cleveland?! Poor guy.

Reading a Cavs fan website, pretty much everyone is excited about acquiring Taurean Prince and especially Jarrett Allen.

Cavs basically traded a 1st round Bucks pick, 2nd round pick and Dante Exum who is an injury prone backup guard.

Yea Kyrie is high maintenance. Don't think he will be a Nets for long.

Don't feel bad for Allen though. He wanted to get paid and knew he wasn't gonna get it with the Nets.

So you’re against the Lakers? That’s fine but they’ve won and Lebron already had titles. I mean it’s so far from impacting legacy or personal opinion it doesn’t even matter. Harden should never even win 1.

I keep seeing people bring up the possible chemistry issues but I don’t think it’s a problem. Superstars/Superteams usually figure it out. Even the Big 3 Heat made it to the Finals their first season.

I hate to say it but their gonna work great unless Kyrie decides to really mess around.

I don’t think Allen is going to be buried on the bench. Either Drummond or McGee will get traded. Allen fits in great with our rising young core for a bright future.

Edit - League has fined $50k (chump change) for violation of COVID protocol. If he continues to test negative he is expected to return to play this Sunday vs. ORL

Silver is the worst. just letting these players run the league with no accountability.

he will however forfeit pay for each game missed during quarantine. 2 games at $410k plus the 50k.... $870k birthday party he attended
