<conspiracy theory> Samsung excludes checkerboard so Mits sells more converters Mits makes IR transmitter work with Samsung glasses (which Mits has apparently rebadged and bundled with their starter pack) so Samsung sells more glasses. Mits wins. Samsung wins. Consumers win. </conspiracy theory> |

Just whats on amazon, bestbuy, here, and other places. People say they skip, get insanely hot, and some just don't work.

![]() not really. if Samsung made their own converter, they wouldn't just give it to you, you'd still have to pay. Samsung owners just have to pay a little more (for now, word on the street is that the geffen EEID spoofer will soon be unnecessary). in any case, it's a helluva lot less than buying a new tv. skip the 300/350 panny, buy a cheaper 3D blu-ray player (or use your existing PS3) and spend the difference on the Mits converter package. instead of just Blu-rays, the converter will let you do TV and games in addition. that's a solid win in my book. |

The HDMI cable.... I haven't used my Samsung BD 3D player yet, but with
my PS3 everything plays great in 2 or 3D with a $12.00 no-name HDMI cable I bought from Real Canadian Superstore. |

At the time when I bought my Samsung BDC-6900 3D player, it was the only 3D player on the market. For the first 4 months there were no major problem. I have noticed that the sound coming from the player (when its loading and skipping scenes) has gotten louder but I guess that is normal. About a month ago (while watching blu-ray movies) the TV and sound would randomly cut off and cut back on 4-7 seconds later. It's like both the receiver and the TV lost the signal from the player. I have an Onkyo 608 receiver and I have two Monster 15bps cables running between my equipment. I called Samsung a couple of times and in the end they told me that my cable might be the problem. I switched the two cables and now its seems to be fine. The Samsung BDC-6900 blu-ray player looks really nice, I just hope it keeps performing for many more years.

just checking around B4 purchasing the C6900 3D player -- just beginning to add hardware to assemble 3d nirvana.. recently built 3D PC (where I watch blu-ray 3D streamed to a Vizio 65 inch 120mhz HDTV, purchased an Alienware M17x 3D laptop, etc.....
I bought a 'refurblished C6900 3D player' from Factory Direct in Toronto (NY) -- online the price is $199.00 but at the till it rings up at $169.00. After reading the negative comments just hoping it lasts til most of the 2011 new 3D HDTV's start arriving this spring/summer..... until then I'm on the prowl for a decent deal on 3D ready receivers -- any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. |

Another very rare problem (happened about 4 times), BUT REALLY ANOYING, is the audio will get muted and the only way to fix it is to stop the movie and start again. Again this has happened on both units. Having had prior experience with Samsung customer support, I will put up with the problem. |

Anyone else with the 6900 have trouble playing burned media? I haven't had any real issues playing retail movies (aside from being kind of slow), but any disc I've put in there (be it DVD or blu-ray) that is burned from my computer seems to have issues. I can usually get them to play (but not all) but it often takes opening and closing the tray 5 or 6 times to get it to load. All of these discs work perfectly fine on the PS3 or on my PC's blu-ray drive.
Is this just a crappy player? It was free (Bundled with TV), so I probably shouldn't be too surprised if that's the case. |

I've recently purchased this player
For 3D to function properly: (1) For HI-RES DTS and Dolby"Requires a 3D capable HDMI 1.4 receiver or 7.1/5.1 analog inputs" (2) This receiver is not compatible with all HDMI 3D ready receivers. Other Settings: (1) Will convert stereo to NEO:6 which can the be output via 7.1 analog (2) Digital Processing "Bass Management" for audio sent via 7.1 analog(which will compress dynamic range) (3) Monitor/Projector setting which enables HDMI audio mute(Option not available while connected to most TVs) (4) 5 skin options Cons: (1) This player will not upconvert DVDs connected via component video(Will display BD discs up to 1080i via Component) (2) Lacks gold plated RCA jacks |

So Im new here and any help would be greatly appreciated... Now my problem is that everything is hooked up fine, the setup went fine, I log into Netflix and im watching one of my favorite Always Sunny episode with this message comes up about Video Refresh settings and this on screen menu type thing (dont know what to call it due to not being able to exit out of it) Comes up, it has icons like Sports and another screen will pop up behind that, then it will move on to another screen. This will go on for about a minute then it disappears. So i figured it was just because it was new, Wrong! It happens every 5 minutes or so, no matter what screen im in or what App....Its frustrating the crap out of me, and of course Samsung Customer services was little help. Anyone have an issue with something like this? Any words of wisdom or solutions to the issue?

I have a Samsung BD5500 3D blu-ray player and I have had jerky play back. Specifically with Tangled 3D and today I bought Wreck It Ralph 3D. It starts off with the pop up menu popping up during playback and then it skips back 10-15 seconds. Any one know if this can be fixed?
