I went with Showtime as I enjoy more shows they air like Dexter, Californication and Weeds. Soon it may be AMC with Breaking Bad,Walking Dead and The Killing looks to be a good series I think I will enjoy.

Pretty sure this comment was directed at me but no Disney isn't my favorite channel. I only watch Wizards of Waverly Place and the original movies they air and that's it. HBO and ShowTime and other cable channels air the shows I like better then Disney and more of them.

In terms of current programming I'd seriously consider FX. Terriers was fantastic, probably my favorite show of the year, but it's ratings sucked and was canceled. It's got great comedies with It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, The League, which was great in it's second season, and Louie. I haven't watched Archer so I can't comment. Justified is good and I've heard great things about Sons of Anarchy, a show I'll probably eventually catch on Blu-ray. I'm excited for the premiere of Lights Out in a couple weeks.

I don't get Showtime or HBO and recently lowered my programming package so I lost AMC.. but that doesn't bother me since The Walking Dead won't be back for a year yet even then I most likely won't go back to the higher package as a single show is not worth the additional $10-$15 a month.
Anyway, I don't know a single show on HBO right now but with Dexter on Showtime and The Walking Dead on AMC - they are at a tie for me. Just sucks I have to wait for the seasons to come out on Blu-ray (or download/streaming or yet even worse DVD) now. |

Used to be HBO by far. The past two or three years the greatness of Mad Men and Breaking Bad have eclipsed everything else in my book, though. That and the fact that they have more promising shows coming up is enough for it to get my vote.
If I'd have to name the top 3: 1. AMC 2. FX 3. HBO But it can change rather quickly depending on new shows getting picked up and current shows ending their run. |

Mad Men is set in the 1960s, initially at the fictional Sterling Cooper advertising agency on Madison Avenue in New York City, The focal point of the series is Don Draper (Jon Hamm), creative director at Sterling Cooper as well as those in his life, both in and out of the office. As such, it regularly depicts the changing moods, social mores, and political correctness of 1960s America.
