This is a make or break year for the Vita. If Sony doesn't have something up its selves for the Vita this year, then the system will be an epic fail.

The demo should be up sometime today. Any progress you make in it will be transferable to the full game.

A Soul Sacrifice demo out on PSN today gives you an early look at the first chapter of the game. Progress made in the demo will transfer over to the main game, the PlayStation Blog revealed, allowing you to fully commit to the demo without sacrificing your free time on repeats. You even get an exclusive item, the "Spirits' Heart," for transferring data.

The demo also includes multiplayer co-op for up to four locally or online, just like the final game. Soul Sacrifice will be available in North America on April 30.

Been playing this demo all evening. It's amazing!

Deep, wonderful action combat, cool crafting/upgrade system that doesn't handhold you but lets you discover stuff on your own without too much fuss with just a few important pointers. Ok, so the story makes no sense, but whatever, lol.

Any game that lets me turn my arm into a giant fist and wallop bad guys is doing something right.

I am only a few missions in... but I haven't seen this as an option yet. Wondering when it unlocks and how easy it is to team up with a buddy.

Tried it last night. It's sometimes tricky to find someone that you get a solid connection with, but it works pretty well.

There's no voice chat, but there's a plethora of pre-canned messages to discuss tactics prior to entering a mission (pact), and if you're playing with friends you can use Group Chat while playing.

I am only a few missions in... but I haven't seen this as an option yet. Wondering when it unlocks and how easy it is to team up with a buddy.

Network option unlocks after you complete mission 1.6.

If you have someone specific you want to play with you can create a named room and search for it (it's a lobby/room system).

I don't have anyone near me that owns a Vita so I can't speak to how well the ad hoc local multiplayer works, but I'd guess it's as good, if not better for obvious reasons.

Spent a few hours with the Soul Sacrifice demo this weekend, and I must say that this is the 1st must buy Vita game in a very long time.

Pre-order Soul Sacrifice and get bonus in-game content. Bundle includes two costumes to customize your character and Spirits' Flamepike, Blightstone, and Fulgurwood magic items. The bundle also allows you to enhance your Soul Sacrifice experience with the original Japanese voiceover pack.

I know the bonus is available at Amazon, Best Buy, and Gamestop.

I'm wondering this too, since PSN is the only place to get the digital versions, and it doesn't look like they have a pre-order window for the Vita, I'm betting this will be a physical copy with a download code, which would be really redundant if you can't get them for the digital version.

I played the demo last week, and it was pretty amazing from what I can tell. I like that your save data can be transferred to a new game too, pretty much how you do a demo. I might just get the digital version since the pre-order bonuses don't look interesting to me (I assume they'll sell them digitally anyway if I decide I want the Japanese track, although I think the English track from the demo is fine).
