There is no Danish Blu Ray of Pusher. Trust me, i'd know since i live here and i love these films.
There's a German one though. (No English subs) https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Pushe...Blu-ray/35926/ |

I find this trilogy under appreciated compared to Drive. Although a great popcorn flick, full of style, Drive lacks the emotional depth seen in The Pusher trilogy, especially in the second part.
Now that Only God Forgives is being released in a couple of months, I was wondering how many Refn/Gosling fans have seen this trilogy, or any film by Refn besides Drive. |

People in Germany have no reason whatsoever for having English subs on their foreign language Blu-rays. They'll watch it with German subs or the usual German dub that everything gets down there.

I recently borrowed "Unknown" from the library that made no mention of Japanese audio or subtitles on the sleeve. When I put in my Japanese PS3 the whole thing played in Japanese.
So when you say no English subs, are there really no English subs or they just don't show up in German blu-ray players? |

I just got the trilogy on DVD (UK) because it was very cheap.
Wow, talk about gritty! Definitely not for the squeamish and it seems so real too. I certainly enjoyed the first two and looking to watch Pusher 3 soon as well. Mikkelsen is brilliant as usual. Im not sure how much better these films would look on blu-ray though. They were obviously made on a very small budget and I cant see them looking that much better. |

I would also highly recommend "Bleeder" by same director if people have not seen it. It has some of the same actors as "Pusher" and is filmed in the same environment.

I live in the same building as Zlatko Buric btw, in Copenhagen. See him pretty much every week walk by.

I believe there's a release on Blu-ray with English subtitles that's being sold in Australia/New Zealand. At least the first "Pusher" movie from the trilogy. Geez, why isn't the whole trilogy made available worldwide, including every f---ing subtitle language selection known to man since the advent of DVD's? It's a travesty, really.
The Pusher trilogy is Winding Refn's finest works IMHO. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

There's a review of the AU/NZ version of "Pusher" Blu-ray on this site:
"Atrocious transfer If you're thinking about picking up this Australian version of the movie, don't. It has one of the worst Blu-ray transfers in memory. I have the German blu-ray to directly compare it with which is miles superior. This one looks like a sub-dvd master. Do not buy this." ![]() ![]() ![]() |
