Ys Memories of Celceta - November 26, 2013

we'll finally have a jrpg game released for the ps vita outside of Japan
the other game I have is Persona 4 Golden.. but that's about it

so what other jrpgs out right now, or announced?

I know about Disgaea 3 and 4

Some are not out yet but have been confirmed to be localized and are coming out soon or at least early 2014.

Not a JRPG but Zero Escape Virtue's Last Reward is also a worhty Japanese game that got localized to own.

Both Atelier games, Conception II, Demon Gaze and Sorcery Saga would be the closest to what you are looking for. Demon Gaze is like a Wizardry-type of JRPG but with moe. Atelier well if you know about the original PS3 versions of those games, then you know what to expect from the PS Vita version. Conception II is yes that JRPG with the whole baby-making thing, but when fighting monsters and such it's all turn-based from what I remember when I played the demo for the 1st game on PSP which didn't get localized unlike this 2nd game which is for both PS Vita and 3DS. Sorcery Saga is turn-based but also a roguelike type of JRPG sort of like Z.H.P. and The Guided Fate Paradox.

Ys: Memories of Celceta Gameplay Trailer - Calilica - YouTube

XSEED have shared a new gameplay trailer for Ys: Memories of Celceta, the upcoming remake of Ys IV for PlayStation Vita. The trailer’s focus is Calilica, who is one of the stronger characters in the game.

Calilica is a young spiritual guardian from a “mysterious town” and XSEED say her strength may surpass even Duren, due to some of her high-end skills.

Ys: Memories of Celceta will be available on November 26th in North America. The regular version of the game will cost $40, while a limited edition that comes with a cloth map and other items will cost $60.

Ys: Memories of Celceta Gameplay Trailer - Frieda - YouTube

Marvelous USA's XSEED Games brand unveiled an English gameplay trailer for Nihon Falcom's PS Vita action role-playing game Ys: Memories Of Celceta on Monday. The trailer centers around Frieda, "a mysterious halberd-wielding warrior from a village deep in the Great Forest who has an alchemically-created fairy named Nina at her disposal."

The regular edition of the game will retail for US$39.99 on Tuesday. The US$59.99 limited "Silver Anniversary Edition will come packaged with a host of celebratory bonus items including a 3-CD collection of original and arranged music spanning the entire history of the franchise, as well as game-specific items such as a cloth map detailing the lands of Celceta, a logo-emblazoned compass, and ‘Adol's Travel Journal’ containing adventuring strategies and artwork, all within an exclusive commemorative package."

Ys is amazingly fun. I fully recommend it for anyone looking for a good JRPG on the Vita.

Ys: Memories of Celceta has a release date in Europe. NIS America announced this morning that they will publish the game in February 2014 in European territories.

A retail version of the game will be published on February 21st, while a download version will follow on February 25th.

Memories of Celceta launched in North America on November 26th for PS Vita.

It's nice to see such a decent sized community for JRPGS on this forum! I can only talk shooters for so long before I get bored.

I checked out the demo for Disgaea 4 on vita. VERY fun game dood!
