Resident Evil was a PS1 and Gamecube game. Even with the screenshots, you can only polish a turd so much. I agree with getting off your high horse. Most of us were only stating our personal view of the game itself. We weren't being judgemental of what makes games fun for different people.

these are remasters, not remakes. Remakes are still more rare and arent dont all that often.

4 is on the ps3 as well. It's incredibly fun, but it has an abomination for a plot, and the characters are all idiots straight out of an 80's action film.

Let me correct you there bud.... This is not a Remake of Resident evil! This is simply a Port to to other consoles remastered in HD So get your facts straight there bud...

Trophies - The reason why trophies are important is because people have gotten used to having the trophy thing now in modern days since the PS3, (Which i respect if you really enjoy trophies) But do not base on buying a game weather it has trophies or not. That is what i mean about playing a game for what it is and the enjoyment of it. When you played RE1 and RE2 and etc on PS1 and other games on PS2 where there any trophies? no... We have gotten spoiled with the Trophy treatment (Not saying trophies are bad in anyway, shape or form because i like trophy too, but you just can't purchase a game based on Trophies).

Yes you are right to each there own but remember that this is a Forum in which everything, anything and thoughts can be discussed. If this is a cash grab to you then do not purchase it, simple as that and do not waste your time looking into news about the game if that is the case.

I think you need to get off your high horse for being so aggressive in your comment/explanation about this game since it is surely a Cash grab for you correct....

This has been on my wishlist for a while and I am glad we are getting it. This is great for the franchise and I think it could lead the franchise back to its roots. Hopefully the controls get revamped and I am looking forward to seeing more on this game.

There is absolutely no reason to remake this game yet again. If Capcom were to remake a RE game, 2 and 3 would be better options than 1

I love this version and can't wait to play it, I'm so stoked. I hope they remake Zero, 2, and 3 as well.

I think Capcom are testing the waters here.

I think they have heard that traditional survival horror needs to return but a new game and development costs are scaring them a bit. So by making this remake is simply testing the market.

If it does sell a lot, I am sure they will progress to part 2 and then hopefully make a completely new game. Because part 3 was a bit lame, Veronica had the worst back tracking of any game i've ever played and part 4 has been done to death. I wouldn't play zero again because I didn't like the story of how they got to the mansion or the fact you could leave items all over the place.

apparently Japan is not only getting a disk, but they're getting a collectors edition as well. Oh japan. when will you learn?

Just like MGS: GZ it seems. They got physical copies and collectors editions before they decided to give us a physical copy as well.
