It's on PS4 but it was already confirmed a while ago for next gen. And with that I would rather play it on PS5 with upgraded graphics than on the PS4.

Think more along the lines of The Witcher in terms of gameplay. It will be just like that but set in a futuristic world.

The target date when last mentioned was June 2019. But they haven't restricted themselves to that date as far as I know so could come later.

I'm terrible at games and I didn't find Witcher 3 to be remotely difficult.

I found the Witcher 3 difficult at first but after putting a couple hours in, it became really easy.

I loved The Witcher 3 but I almost found it to be TOO damn big. Like, playing video-games is typically an exercise in reduction. In other words, the more you progress and leave parts of a game in your rearview mirror, the less you have in front of you to complete. The Witcher 3 felt almost completely opposite. Like the more of that game that I completed, the BIGGER the damn thing got, LOL. I had to take a LONG break from open world games after I finally finished The Witcher 3. Great game but damn! It's an investment to finish it. Horizon Zero Dawn balanced that better for me.

Agree completely. I took several breaks during the main game for sure because of exactly what you said. I then immediately went into hearts of Stone after finishing the main game and took another month or so off before getting to Blood and Wine (which I still have yet to finish). Man was it a blast to get immersed into though. I love the Cyberpunk IP a lot more so I'm already cringing at my time investment for this new game.

And possibly a little GTA in there if we can access vehicles in Cyberpunk 2077.
No release date given, but hopefully it'll be for PS4 in 2019.

Here are some of the other details that are emerging from the presentation, which is currently still going on.

CD Projekt describes the game as a "first-person RPG."
Gameplay is in first a first-person perspective, but switched to third-person during a cutscene.
You play a character named V (as in the letter).
V can be a man or a woman.
You can drive cars in the game, and seemingly toggle between first and third person during this.
While driving in first-person, the U.I. appears diegetically on the windshield.
Damage numbers pop up during combat.
CD Projekt also described Cyberpunk as a "mature experience intended for mature audiences."
Like Witcher, you take missions from NPCs and have dialogue options in conversations.
It's an open world that you open up more with "street cred." For example, a specific jacket might raise it by 5%, allowing you access to new places."

Same here. I honestly think I could play this along with Red Dead 2 and be good for the rest of this generation. Any other surprises along the way would just be icing on the cake.

Well this went from a day one buy for me to a game I honestly don't even care about anymore. So disappointed in the decision by CDPR. After playing the Witcher 3 and loving it I had been anticipating this game for years. I had no reason to think Cyberpunk would be anything other than a third person game similar to the Witcher. Now that it is a stupid FPS all hype is lost. Basically this is just a rip off of Deus Ex now. Screw this game and CDPR.
