Default Soul Calibur 6

I'm still disgusted and offended at how they just shit on the legacy with SC5 but am willing to risk being hurt again. I adore the Soul Calibur franchise, it's my favorite fighting franchise, above Street Fighter, above Mortal Kombat, above Tekken, above them all.

We need a quality version. I loved the early Soul games, I loved IV very much, was just unfortunate it came out prior to the Trophy mandate, so it had none.

Then there was 5. Ugh.

Now comes rumors that Bandai might be premiering Soul Calibur 6 at E3 this year. Recently they set up a page where you could vote on your favorite character (SC5 notoriously removed many fan favorites and moved the "storyline" or what little there was, into the future to focus on the children of two of the characters.

Let's hope for the best, folks!

Clues Hint To Bandai Namco Revealing Soul Calibur 6 At E3 2015

Since Soul Calibur 5 three years ago, fans of the series have been digging for new information and some speculate that E3 2015 will give them exactly what they want.

The game has been one of the trademark fighting games for years and since it has been out of the fighting-game scene for quite a while, it would only be right to bring it back: Soul Calibur 6.

This would be a great move for Bandai Namco and the game could join along the success of the Naruto Ultimate Ninja series and Mortal Kombat.

Games confirmed to be talked about by Bandai Namco during E3 2015:

Godzilla, J-Stars Victory VS+, MotoGP 15, Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4, One Piece Pirate Warriors 3, Project X Zone 2, Saint Seiya Soldiers' Soul, Sebastien Loeb Rally Evo, Supernova, Tales of Zestiria and an unconfirmed title that fans believe will be Soul Calibur 6.

E3 is right around the corner (June 16) so fans won't have to wait too long to find out if these speculations are correct.

Recently, Project Soul, the developer within Bandai Namco in charge of the Soul Calibur series said in a post that they wanted all of their fans' opinions on their favorite Soul Calibur character.

"Calling all SoulCalibur Fans! Project Soul would like to hear your voice," said a post on the SoulCalibur Facebook page. "They need to determine precisely who are the favorite characters of the community! Project Soul is probably preparing something huge... Stay tuned and spread the news!"

The survey included 45 characters that have appeared in all of the Soul Calibur games.

This could just be Bandai Namco looking for general information regarding its game, but still, could this mean that Bandai Namco is ready to discuss a new Soul Calibur game?

Hah, I actually enjoyed SC5 but it was the worst of them all, I thought. It and MK have always been my favorite fighting franchises, so I would be very excited to get a new entry, but it better damn well have Taki next time.

While I played Soul Edge here and there on PS1, it wasn't until Soulcalibur on the Dreamcast that I really started playing. Haven't dabbled in any of the other games since. It's not a game I would buy day 1 but surely something down the line if it handles similar to the Dreamcast game. There was just something about that one that clicked with me.

yeah, Soul Calibur 1 on Dreamcast was the best. I have good memories playing this game against my brother.

Note: Soul Calibur has revealed the results of the fan voting on their favorite characters. I assume this cames after the cluster**** that was SC5 when they removed a bunch of fan favorites, including my favorite.

Below is their Facebook post along with the results. The BOLDED characters are MY favorites. Sadly it's doubtful Olcadan will ever show up again but I liked him. He was the Owl character in SC3 I think it was.

I have Soul Edge on the PS. I haven't played it in years, but will have to give it another try. It was a fun game for a few months, and reminded me of my all time favorite fighting game, Samurai Shodown II.

This new Soul Cailbur VI game will hopefully offer new features in addition to the expected ones if the rumor is true.

It's been a while since I played any installment on the PS platform, but the trailer for VI has piqued my curiosity; will keep an eye on its progress.

Sophitia is fine with me but those pictures don't make it look very nice so would need to see it in more detail to know if I would have any interest in it. Although even if it looked nicer it would be a wait and see with how many of these collector's edition statues/figures look way better in promo shots than the reality.

I’ll get the one without the figure. So the Deluxe Edition.
