I’ve been playing as Claire the past 3 days. I noticed that Ada is not part of this storyline. I got to play as Sherry, instead. Reminded me a bit of Resident Evil 4 playing as the young girl.

I needed YouTube for help on that 4 block puzzle.

Beat that boss with the crane after 3 attempts.

Currently on NEST, with Sherry.

Managed to complete this game in 4 days. Amount of saves is ridiculous, but that is the best that I can do.

This is a very beautiful and well-made remake. Thank you Capcom!

You didn't need all these manual saves, the game autosave frequently enough

saving is only relevant on hard mode because auto save is disabled

I use multiple save points so that I can play a previous area again. Sometimes I may use too much ammo and/or health in a certain area, so I like to replay that section again. That is my strategy for survival horror games.

Finished playing through this yesterday (Leon scenario A). Loved the original back in the day, and this remake was really rather good.
Plenty of times throughout it I was low on ammo and was thinking how unfair it all seemed when those darn zombies just kept getting back up! (Struggled to avoid them, as they were quite tricksy) Always managed to scrape through though, so the amounts/locations of the various provisions was obviously pretty well thought out.

I’d read about Mr. X before, and the idea of being thrown out of your comfort zone by having him relentlessly pursue you at certain points of the game was probably the thing that had prevented me from buying the game sooner (getting it for 8 quid from Amazon was a no brainer though), but in the end, he wasn’t that bad. Ended up
[Show spoiler]blowing the mother trucker away with a rocket launcher anyway, lol.

Hated the zombie dogs, but the shotgun saw them off.

Visually stunning too. Tremendous lightning effects, character models, etc.

Finally got the Hell of a Sheriff trophy after more than 100+ failed attempts. At last, my 100% is complete again

I picked this one up from a Black Friday deal. Are there significant benefits to using a Pro or a PS5 to play it?

Anyone here managed to get the gunslinger achievement in the no way out scenario on console? I think it's impossible to get it done. I fired 200+ shots on my first and only succesful run. It's not possible for me to do it with less than 60 handgun shots.

The other week, I was thinking of some things that don't make sense in this game.

1. After not hearing from her brother for months, Claire rides to Raccoon City to find him. There is no need to be carrying a gun from the start.
IN the novel, and original game (?), Claire gets her gun from the police car after being rescued by Leon.

2. No matter which character you choose to play, after the police car crashes, "your" character is on the RCPD-side even though that shouldn't be possible considering the side of the car Leon and Claire sit on.
In the novel, Leon enters the station via its front entrance but Claire enters via the helipad. It also answers the question of how and why the helicopter crashes.

3. Why does Irons take the mayor's daughter to the orphanage instead of working on her in his private sanctuary?

4. Should Leon and Claire been given different "bosses" to deal with?
IN the novel, Leon has to deal with Birkin whereas Claire deals with Mr X.

I think it's fair to say that the remake isn't as ambitious as the original in some respects, although the developers would argue it's a more streamlined story perhaps. The original had more replayability but I think the remake tells the story better, albeit I would have liked to have seen a few more unique differences in paths for each character (E.g. bosses as you say). I do love the remake though.
