Big fan of the setting / atmosphere, not of the gameplay (Dark Souls / Ninja Gaiden style) so I am obviously skipping this game. I enjoyed dying over and over again at the start.

Games being harder in the 8/16-bit days has nothing to do with my comment as it has nothing to do with a game being made excruciatingly difficult just to be more "hardcore" than the game series it has so liberally "borrowed" from.

The very first enemy killed me in two hits after I punched him numerous times. I then shut it off and deleted it.

I don't know whether I should delete the demo I like a challenge but this is ridiculous

Wow the demo is ruthless

(I assume) I'm in the last area, I've already seen the boss but couldn't beat it on the first try, and now I can't even reach it again because there are way too many enemies + fire

there is a shortcut that would help me reach the boss sooner, but I can't even get to the shortcut's door because of the amount of enemies

ignoring this area, I'm loving the game, it's not 'like a souls games' it is a souls game, it's like a samurai mod of dark souls, down to the sound effects and enemies placements

easily day 1, but I hope they tone down the difficulty in the full game

I enjoy the game's look and the gameplay is decent, but holy hell is it hard. I don't mind cribbing some of the features of the Souls games, as they're strangely addictive, but it does feel like it's trying to "outdo" them by ramping up the difficulty even further. I have to admit I'm kind of impressed that Team Ninja is making a game that's harder than Ninja Gaiden Black, though.

this game is bullshit, I was able to finish the mission, and unlock the bonus dlc for the full game, but it was too frustrating that I won't buy it when it's out

the weapons/armors durability is joke, completely take out the fun of the game, congrats devs

there's an even harder mission in the demo (the one I finished is lvl 5, this one is 25 ) but I'm not going to even bother playing it, not worth it.

saying that, when I see someone does this to the boss, I think the problem is me, not the game

I read that the demo was hard, but there's a fine line between hard and bad design. I loved the atmosphere but this game looks like way more frustration than it's worth. That boss video Talal posted was crazy, that's asking for way too much perfection from the average gamer. I think i'll pass.

Finally beaten both the main missions of the demo and overall, I thought this was a lot of fun! I wasn't considering it before, but after playing this, I might even buy the full game once it releases. The demo was hard, but if even I could beat it, it can't be that hard since I suck at games like these, haha!

Ehhh...second boss was easier than the first one, though.
