Default Death Stranding (Hideo Kojima) Nov 8th

Sony just made it official: former Konami superstar (and Metal Gear creator) Hideo Kojima has grown a beard. Oh, and formed a new studio, which is working with Sony on a PlayStation 4 exclusive.

It’s not a Sony studio; it’s an independent team, which will be known as...Kojima Productions. The deal announces that Kojima Productions’ “first software title [is] a console exclusive to the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system.”

Here’s their very swank new logo:

Below is an introductory video shot with Kojima and Sony’s Andrew House:

Please let it be Silent Hills

Also, wonder if he can make another Metal Gear or does Konami have all the rights to the franchise

Dunno if likeness rights would be involved or not. If not, they could make the exact same game with a different title.

I'm sure Konami owns the rights to both Metal Gear and Silent Hills.

But, like Derb said, they could make another horror game and call it whatever the hell they want.

Collaboration with Del Toro to produce a dual project Movie/ Videogame titled "At the Mountains of Quietness".

I am only partially joking.

They can make a horror title, and be freed of any limitations.....I say: do that....!

RIP Konami. They seem like A-holes over there

Chances of it being a VR game are high IF they do go with Sony.

In that case screw Silent Hill and MG, give me ZOE VR!

I've always though Kojima has been overrated along with the MGS games. Maybe he can surprise me and come up with something spectacular.

Kojima was often saying how he wanted to move on from MGS and this is his chance, so it's likely he'll take it and avoid the stealth genre.

I'd like to see him offer a new open world game but whatever he decides, I can imagine it'll be solid.

I feel sorry for Xbox owners, but I'm excited to see what Hideo can do unleashed from Metal Gear and with Sony likely throwing cash at his studio to help him develop the new game.

So this kind of makes me want to say sorry to konami for erasing kojima productions from their mgs posters etc. It looks more like they had to since koji pro is no longer part of konami, not entirely their fault that kojima set up a separate entity. They were most likely legally bound to take away the koji pro logos.

Still doesn't excuse konami and their other policies though, but on the logo side if it probably wasn't done with malice on their part as I many places thought.

Oh, and it looks like they made their new logo using the emblem editor from MGSV, bet someone could recreate it in the game

I'm starting to get sick of exclusives. I don't care what is involved or how it happens.
