I don't see a VHS forum. Maybe I'm banned from it or not cool enough to see it so this thread goes here...

1983 Oscar nominee. Still no US release outside of VHS and Laserdisc...

The last one I ever bought was a used copy of TerrorVision before they released it on blu-ray. The last one I bought new was Star Wars The Phantom Menance. I have since upgraded them both to blu-ray.

My final VHS purchases were through Amazon, so looking back through my order history I found the last one I ever purchased, in October 2004.

I'd had it when I was a kid but lost it over the years.

About 1998 I bought a used copy of Monsterdog. I still own it.

But in March it will be replaced by the brand new Bluray release!

Always loved the simplicity of those covers. Just the artwork and title. Beautiful.

If I had a working VHS player (my last one died several years ago) I'd still be buying tapes.

I find myself still buying tapes every now and then simply because the local library always has a couple carts full of donated ones that you can buy 3-for-$1 or 1-for-50c. Usually just if the cover art is cool, I'll snag it. The hoarder in me can't say "no" to useless stuff that's so cheap

Street Fighter was the first "adult" animated film I ever saw. It still holds a place in .y heart whenever I see that VHS

I still have the Tekken anime film VHS even though I don't have a VHS machine hooked up any more.

I still actually own these because they are the only way I can own the original trilogy un-altered, or did the un-altered versions come out DVD I forget again.

They did a limited run in 2006 of each movie individually packaged in a 2-disc set, one disc was the 2004 DVD and the other was the unaltered version ported over from the 1993 Laserdisc. Same three releases were bundled together in a trilogy pack in 2008. Both are OOP and hella expensive nowadays unfortunately.
