They don't need to do a damn thing. People need to stop acting so entitled. It's their movie and their money. So they will do what they want with it.

Crying and whining about putting them online isn't going to make them do so. I'm sure everyone on here have hundreds to thousands of movies to watch.

Financial expectations aside, after all these delays and all this time waiting, there's going to be an untenable amount of pressure for this movie to be good enough to have been worth the wait. I doubt any movie could live up to it.

Well, there's a lot of factors involved that make the cost of the movie so high for streaming. For one, the movie cost an already-hefty $250 million. That's also before the payoffs you'd have to do for the talent regarding back-end deals if you go for a streaming release. Then there's the amount MGM has already spent marketing the movie, which is probably exorbitant. After that, the streamers would still have to throw in a decent amount of extra money on top to make it profitable/worthwhile for MGM. Deadline said the streamers were done negotiating for anything over $300 million, and MGM would absolutely need more than that to make a streaming deal happen.
