I think I'm going to wait out until the first major expansion (like TTK). I want to gauge just how anti-consumer they are this time around, and if it's similar or worse than the original I might skip it altogether before getting addicted lol.

If the PC version is legit, and their business model isn't as vile and disgusting as it was throughout the first game, I will most likely give this a shot.

Since I will be getting it for about $25-30 at release (like any other PC game), and I won't have to worry about the cash going to Activision, it'll be a whole lot easier to buy into it. That is, if it's not a broken pile of trash ala Mass Effect: Andromeda.

It appears as if the Tower is destroyed by the Cabal.

And this begins the cycle of story missions, strikes, and a raid before a DLC is released months later and the process continues.

This is a story so completly dumb that "the darkness" was written as a villain. Bungie did not think this through.

Cayde is humorous but not sure I would have done such a goofy first teaser for the new game. Big attack going on but this guy stops for a drink.

I sunk a lot of hours into the first game and had i think logged like 50 hours or more just on the Alpha and Beta let alone hundreds on the original and then it all just went to the wayside before DLC released cause I no longer enjoyed that grind and repetition. I always saw the game for what it was, but whilst it remained fun I played.

I'd say minimal to none as well. But then again the beta is supposedly in June, so who knows?

I'm still getting slightly hyped. I may pop the original in again.

I'm hyped in the hopes that they'll actually deliver on what was originally promised. The realist in me knows better though.

I'm getting it of course, but I don't think I'm going to let the 2nd game take over my life like how the first game did. Glad I was about to bail after the first expansion.
