Can't possibly be a Blu-ray release since the entire series was shot on video.

This is a DVD release, obviously. Don't know why Amazon has incorrectly created blu ray listings for many TV shows lately.

Yeah, wasn't DS shot on videotape like most other Lear/Tandem/TAT shows?

So wouldn't a Blu release be pretty well pointless unless it was one of those SD on Blu releases that jammed every episode of a season on a single disc?

Well, what might be right for you, may not be right for some.

Two.

Charlotte Rae is still okay as of this post. But she was only there for one season before The Facts of Life.

Mary Jo Catlett and Danny Cooksey are also surviving cast members. So are some of the recurring guest stars, such as Shavar Ross (Arnold's friend, Dudley Johnson), Steven Mond (Arnold's friend Robbie Jayson), Nikki Swazey-Seaton (Arnold's arch nemesis, Lisa Hayes), to name a few.

Diff'rent Strokes always has been and always will be one of my personal favorites.

They got me good!

I got rid of the first four seasons after the ridiculously long hiatus.

HOPE THEY'RE HAPPY!

With seasons 1, 2, & 5 from Sony and seasons 3 & 4 from Shout Factory, I suppose there is no possibility of ever getting a complete series box set either. That's what I was holding out for.

Where did you get the idea Sony was releasing season 5?

Shout is releasing it. And they've already done plenty of complete series where the first couple seasons, or even over half the series, were released by Sony or another company first.

The Amazon link in the OP shows Studio: Sony Pictures. If that's misinformation, then bi+ch to Amazon about it.

It also says it's going to be a Blu-Ray, so Amazon doesn't know s#it, it seems.

Since the previous post in this thread, the remaining three seasons of Diff'rent Strokes have been released by Shout. They didn't end up releasing a complete series DVD set?

In Sony's release of the second season, how is the two-parter "Thanksgiving Crossover" presented? And series Hello, Larry wasn't a spin-off of Diff'rent Strokes?
