The second movie was awful in many of the same ways that The Last Jedi was awful. The first was brilliant and the second crapped all over it.

My excitement is also pretty low for this one. Once they killed Roxy and JB the pug it just left a bad taste in my mouth. And bringing Colin Firth back in that convoluted way diminished the impact of the first one which I adored.

The second film offed almost the majority of the cast from the first film, while shifting WAY too much focus on a literal joke character in Eggsy's royal girlfriend. Damn near killed the franchise dead in its tracks for me. It was all so unnecessary and poorly written, it's hard to be excited for a third film.

2nd one grows on me more every time I watch it. First time I thought it was enjoyable but paled in comparison to the first. Now I think it's damn good. Can't wait for more.

The first was awesome, the second was pretty shite. I'd be willing to give a third one a chance. But, I can't see Disney making Kingsman movies.

Rumour: Kingsman 3 will introduce new characters from spinoff prequel The Great Game

Back in June, filmmaker Matthew Vaughn revealed that he would be expanding the Kingsman franchise with a third instalment in the spy series, along with an early 1900s prequel spinoff entitled Kingsman: The Great Game, as well as a Statesmen movie and an eight-hour Kingsman TV show.

Well, according to That Hashtag Show, Vaughn is now eyeing a January 2019 production start for Kingsman 3, which he intends to shoot back-to-back with The Great Game, and it seems the plan is to use Kingsman 3 to introduce two new leads via flashbacks who will then be the focus on the spinoff.

The site reports that one of the leads will be a teen called Conrad, whose description reads: “The young, cocky and charming son of a British Duke, Conrad is eager to find a way to serve his country during World War I…and perhaps the Kingsman offer him just that opportunity.”

the second one had it's few moments but was largely a bloated three ring circus, here's hoping Vaughn can take some of the critical input from the fans and get his shit together.

I have no interest in a Kingsman without Egerton's Eggsy. Definitely interested in more movies with him though.

Kinda surprised by this, I loved the first movie but I heard the second one was complete trash and so I never touched it and just assumed the franchise had died. Maybe they'll recapture the magic with the third film.

“Heard it was...” is never a solid foundation upon which to judge something for yourself. Some people told me The Godfather was trash when I was younger. When I finally got around to watching it, I decided to never let anyone else tell me what my opinion should be. It could end up making me miss all kinds of good stuff.

Now, that’s not saying that Kingsman 2 is in any way equivalent to The Godfather. I was just citing an extreme personal example of the concept that I was trying to explain.

Kingsman 2 was fine...it had its awkward moments (and was INSANELY LONG), but it's certainly entertaining and slick.

I went to see it in theaters a week after it opened, expecting the worst due to the reviews and WOM, but was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed it. It was like X-Men: Apocalypse...it wasn't THAT much worse than Days Of Future Past, people.

I get your argument but I also don't. I am sure there are some critically lambasted movies I have avoided that I may have loved but I only have so much free time and if I watched every single movie regardless of critical responses and responses from my friends then I feel like I'd just be wasting my free time. It doesn't work all the time, obviously, but I always stick with what I know or what is well received in my free time to minimise the risk I might be wasting my time.

I enjoyed both Kingsman films and am a fan of Matthew Vaughn, so count me in opening day for this or any other film set in the Kingsman universe
