I did a Google search & I found that the flyover B&B is in Santry which is again in Dublin's northside. Hope that helps! ![]() https://www.google.ie/search?q=flyov...hrome&ie=UTF-8 The best thing about living in Dublin is that most of the people I encounter on the street are nice and friendly. Everything I do for shopping is very close to where I live. Although I use public transport here as I don't drive a car; it is quite expensive to use & it's poorly run at times. |

Well the Flyover B&B is where I stayed when I visited Ireland back in 2013. I have a great book on Ireland and it split Dublin into three sections; North of the Liffey, Southeast of the Liffey and Southwest of the Liffey. I would tell you a bit about my trip but I won't right now since this is your thread
![]() I really liked Dublin when I visited. The city centre seemed quite small and it seemed like most everything was within walking distance. I was there in early September and I think Sweden was in town to play you guys in some sport. It might have been football. Have you been to Kilkenny? |

I don't follow a team in the Premier League because I don't have sports channels from either Sky or BT. Irish subscriptions for Sky & BT are still quite expensive than in the UK. I do follow football like The World Cup, The Euros, F.A.Cup, Champions League and International Football from The Republic of Ireland & England.

I don't watch a lot of Irish club football on TV or in person really. Airtricity League football in Ireland does not have a big following in clubs around the country. A minority of fans in that league would support their local team. There are football teams around my locality in areas like Monkstown Avenue & Deansgrange though. I don't know much about those teams tbh.

Hi dublin, yes we talked about Kilkenny before via PM. I'm sorry that I had forgotten about that. Kilkenny was a wonderful place. I am not familiar with the San Antonio B&B that you guys stayed at so I will have to check it out on TripAdvisor or Google it
![]() Kilkenny was quite the place to be especially during hen nights hehe I enjoyed going to the theater about 7 or 8 times while I was there. Went for many nice walks. Do you like hurling and have you ever played yourself? I remember walking behind this young lad and he had his stick and ball/puck/thing lol and he would hit it against the wall and it would come back to him while he was walking. I was pretty impressed. Unfortunately I never attended any hurling matches so I'll have to do that on my next trip ![]() What are you doing right now at 9pm? |

I just want to express my heartfelt condolences to the people living in Las Vegas after what occurred at the dreadful gun attack on Sunday night. I only heard about the story while trying to find my mother at a bar in South Dublin yesterday. I only looked at the TV for a brief moment while the news about the attack was breaking on CNN. It was just dreadful heartbreaking news to look at on the TV. This story has probably got a lot of coverage in the Irish media because a lot of people living in Rural Ireland are big fans of country music which has lasted for a very long time. It is used as a social outlet for them because a lot of local people in their communities are big fans of the genre. Those Irish fans, including some in my own family, hearing about this story through the media would be very heartbroken by the tragedy.
I was looking at the news earlier on RTÉ which usually described the normal atmosphere of Las Vegas before the attack took place in the city that night. It was described as the biggest party capital world with people going into various bars & casinos having fun that would be open all hours of the day & night. And now what is described after the attack is just a somber quiet ghost town. Las Vegas is a city that is full of glitz, glamour & full of energy. What this attack did to this city was simply wiping out that energy within a couple of hours on what was meant to be a enjoyable Sunday night for those concert-goers. Whatever motive is established for this attack by the authorities; it will not relieve the heartbreak of those who lost their loved ones forever. The impact of what the gunman did to the victims that night will leave a huge hole in the presence of the victims families that will last a lifetime. May all the victims who died in this attack Rest in peace. I hope the victims who were injured in this attack will have a speedy recovery. ![]() Last edited by dublinbluray108; 10-03-2017 at 07:12 PM. |

I entered an Irish raffle to win one of two 4K Ultra HD LG TV's last week. The results from tonight told me I did not win it.
Ah well. I can't win everything. Congrats to the two people who did win them for Christmas. |

Hey buddy, hope you are doing well. I think I read that you said you guys got some snow or up in the hills. If you don't mind, maybe I'll share a few of my Ireland pics with you someday. They're kind of redundant since I spent 47 days in the same town! Great place to be while recovering from a car accident though
