Yeah, I realize OLED is a totally different beast in terms of 4K. However I'm just not going to spend that much money on one. Even though my friend's Samsung wasn't an OLED, it certainly wasn't a cheap Wal Mart TV either. It was one of their higher end models. I just kind of expected a bigger wow factor and it didn't give that to me at all. I think my Panny has spoiled me .

Unfortunately I don't have the luxury of being able to do a direct side by side, as I'm sure in that setting I would be able to see differences. So perhaps in my case, ignorance is bliss.

I will say though, I'll be just a little sad when my plasma finally croaks because that TV has been awesome. I'm still pissed we never got a 4K HDR plasma panel.

Me too, man. This is why I purchased both of them right when they released. I didn't actually begin using the VT until early last year. It had been tested and sitting in the box as a "just in case" alternative if I ever needed to repair or replace the ZT. They are just so damn good.

I also wish we'd gotten a 4K plasma but I do know that OLED is more than capable of replacing the technology in terms of amazing contrast and black levels. They'll be much more affordable soon so you'll have something to look forward to in case your Panny does go out.

I think the exclusive Sony events will give us much more information about the game. I'm already sold though and feel like it's gonna be a must buy. Probably go for if on the PS5 gen though. Hopefully the PS4 version can be patched up.

The terminology is confusing. For one thing, with PS5 being BC, ALL PS4 games are cross gen with PS5. Now with the rumor of Ghost of Tsushima coming to PS5, does this mean it's a PS5 exclusive?

Yeah I wouldn't want to work in the branding departments for either of these companies going forward. Depending on how the whole forward and back compat things shake down how do you label games? Will "cross gen" games have a PS4 release and a PS5 release (seems wasteful)? Will it be one "Playstation" release and you download a patch for higher assets if you're on PS5 or will it all just be on the disc?

Summer. So by the time you finish The Last of Us: Part II.

Visually the game (not character models) looks stunning. It’s safe to put an M on the box art. lol The trailer had some brutal hits. I was on the fence with the game but it’s starting to grow on me especially if the narrative is there to back it up.

This was always gonna be a day 1 buy for me, looking forward to it. Next year is looking to be a great year for games, at least for me.

All depends on what exactly gets upgraded on a PS5 version VS PS4 disk output at a Pro level.
