No 3D this year either for LG's OLEDs but that's not really a deal breaker for me. I have 3D on my current Plasma & rarely utilize it. For me it wouldn't be a big loss. I also like to do some casual gaming & I'm not sure if the input lag on a projector would bother me or not. Plus I'm a big fan of plasma & the more organic look so OLED is definitely in my comfort zone while a projector is more... mysterious with more unknowns. I guess ideally I would have both but I'm not in a situation where I can do both. Regardless of which one I land on it will be my primary daily viewing, playing display.

Do you plan to game on this at all? I am really interested in getting one. I read somewhere that this things has 80 ms and of input lag and maxes out at 30 Fps. I don't even know if that is noticeable to a casual gamer like myself.
Also BenQ has a 4K-HDR projector coming out in a couple weeks thats actually cheaper than this thing. But its not UST which i really like. |

I only had a few minutes to ay least connect this thing and take a glance...
My initial thought? WOW this thing is BRIGHT and SHARP. It was just before dinner time so all the lights were on, and usually our Sony 45 was not exactly enjoyable that way because of very washed out picture. Xiaomi was comparable to having a TV playing in living room with all lights on. I'm not sure if it comes with a bright/eco mode and perhaps ootb it's set up on 'bright' mode, but I was very surprised. Somehow, and with the help of the wife, I was able to change language to English. Another challenge was to skip the phone number registration in the initial setup, as the system only recognizes Chinese phone numbers! I tried VERY BRIEFLY to explore display settings and pretty much eveything is set on 50. I also noticed that we have about 4 different custom picture modes each with a different name in Chinese but it seemed that they were all identical ootb. Will dig deeper on Friday!
