Default Tritton Headset Products.

So, in this thread, I have talked about Tritton Headset products.

And I tried to google those products, where I can buy in retail store, not online shopping.

And when I couldn't find it, I gave up searching for it.

And now I was just googling tech news and I just found out this:
- Mad Catz returns with a new owner, new ideas and new products
- Telling it is back to business.

When did they go out of business?

No wonder why I couldn't buy Tritton Ark 300 retail store.

Is it only me who never knew they went out of business previously?

Didn't know they went under.
However, I had two of their headsets. Pretty much hated both of them.
So, no loss lol

They went out of business early last year, so I was also looking forward to getting the Tritton Ark 300. You'd still be able to find the Katana 7.1 HD headset which is what I have and very happy with it.

Maybe they'll release some more stuff this year.

If their main competitor Turtle Beach is any indicator of Triton, it's not so much the headphone that works it's the headphone decoder that comes with last Generations turtle beaches and tritons. Nowadays most headphones rely on gaming system software to make Surround Sound processing but in the old days the Turtle Beach DSS and a similar device from Triton took any Dolby Digital input and converted it into Dolby headphones directly.

the obvious problem is that 70% of my blu-rays are DTS and 5% of my blu-rays are lpcm 7.1. since those devices only directly convert from Dolby Digital to Dolby headphone they would be worthless in any DTS or lpcm movie

But they do work in the 25% of movies that use Dolby.

you can find your favorite pair of headphones turn off it's decoders and let the Xbox One decode it with either Windows Sonic, Dolby Atmos headphone app or dts x headphone app.

And the strange thing is there is no option to match with media so that Dolby movies are encoded in Dolby Atmos headphone app DTS are decoded in dtsx headphone app and lpcmovies are decoded in Windows Sonic. That would be the perfect choice and would make all three things necessary. but no you got to go back and switch back and forth every time you go from a DTS to Dolby or any other format change.

By the way the way I got turned onto these was because my dad price to surround sound system that was $10,000 in labor in 2009 and my friend Jamal so far 321 nickens appeared on a video game TV show where Triton was a sponsor wcg Ultimate Gamer season 1. I asked him he tried the headphones that was the first time he tried headphones cuz he never played shooters competitively until wcg and he said you can hear where all the sounds are coming from, and you can dodge blind.

And assuming the movies in Dolby the movies feel like that too where you could track something by hearing it.

Help me develop Turtle Beach ears in real life too. Like pointing to a ringing phone that I can't see but I hear.

On these modern stuff 90% of the work is done by the software decoder. the only thing your headphones do is standardized the acoustics around your ear to make the computerized surround sound work.
