Samsung Introduces The 3D Cinema "Wall Professional" for Improved Commercial Content Delivery at ISE 2018
At ISE 2018, Samsung Electronics literally will take LED engagement to new heights with the introduction of ‘The Wall Professional’ – a modular, large-format indoor MicroLED display that can extend to hundreds of inches in size while delivering outstanding brightness, contrast and viewing angles. http://www.koreaittimes.com/news/art...ml?idxno=79633 출처 : Korea IT Times(http://www.koreaittimes.com) 3D Cinema LED: A Star-Studded Sequel ISE 2018 attendees will be the first to see the next evolution of Samsung’s pioneering cinema display technology with the debut of the world’s first 3D Cinema LED screen. This enhanced display maintains consistent brightness to deliver subtitle text, images and even minor visual details with unprecedented accuracy, even while viewers wear 3D glasses. Unlike standard 3D cinemas with more limited visual reach, the Samsung 3D Cinema LED screen delivers these quality-enhancing benefits throughout the entire theater, ensuring that all movie-goers enjoy the same immersive viewing experience. ![]() This 3D film accommodation marks a significant advancement upon the initial Samsung Cinema LED screen model. First introduced in March 2017, Samsung’s High Dynamic Range (HDR) Cinema LED Screen surpasses the capabilities of legacy screen-and-projector operations to deliver superior visual quality, technical performance and reliability for theaters and their guests. 출처 : Korea IT Times(http://www.koreaittimes.com) What a surprise (!) , Even though it's just a booth demo model , its nice to see 3D & Samsung together back in the news in 2018 ![]() |

Am I the only one that’s hoping this new 3d led tecnology makes it way to the 2018 smasung tv models? They have yet to be anounced, do there is hope we”ll see a 4k 3d led comi g this year, and I assume this new algorithm that eliminates crosstalk will also work on tvs seeing as the 3d cinema led is basically a huge tv.

I thought 3D was dead? Instead it's coming back, and in this instance not as a feature but as another type of 3D television.
Granted, this one is not geared towards mainstream consumers but with some other name brands including 3D in one of their new lines, this is a sign the industry hadn't discarded the potential profit to be made reintroducing this "gimmick" to the market. Wow, Samsung has done it. They've taken LG's 2016 oled tv and put it in a movie theater. Ha.Ha.
Unfortunately it is not as good as LG's tvs, as it is just a LED(and hence why it is able to be larger), and I have watched more than 3 hours in one sitting of 3d on the lg oleds and never had a headache or got dizzy. I even watched the Great Gatsby last night with all lights on and while doing work on the computer, and the picture was as bright as hell on the vivid setting. Forgot I even had the glasses on! It is just so funny to see Samsung take what looks like a passive led tv make it big and call it new. I am sure it can be seen at greater angles; my God it is 34 feet wide! They are the traitors who abandoned us in 2015, and wouldn't even give us passive 3d on a 4k tv. And now they want to act like they are inventing something new. The one thing that does stand out in this article is the admission as to how dark projectors are in the real world. One third as bright for 3d as normal 2d films! Whew, that's bad! |

Also in the last picture of the first post with the couple holding the glasses, they seem to be your regular samsung active glasses. I have a feeling this is a full on active 3D experience. Also, new algorithm to avoid crosstalk smells like active 3D. Passive 3D works with a filter so there isn’t much you can so if one eye sees the other eyes’ picture. We've already been down this road once with Samsung and their active shenanigans if that's what they're doing. Once was more than enough.

CinemaLED is MicroLED, which does display true blacks, just like OLED.
The problem with MicroLED is that they can't be made small enough to manufacture a consumer TV. The smallest they've done so far is a 146 inch version at CES. |

AT least the screens are 3d. Looking forward and dreaming that this tech could one day be the affordable and practical way to have super large tvs in the home. Dream: ...buy 4 ~75" 4k 3d reasonably priced tv panels.. easy to move and carry into home.. then connect them all together in their final place for 150" ultra large 8k, 3d, bright HDR dream tv...
Even if not microled... if they mass produce a way to connect 4 separate panels together in a high quality fashion then this would solve a high quality practical solution to ultra large tvs in the home... and it would still be at least 4 times The cost of one smaller panel so it shouldn't hurt the smaller tv market... |
