"Jumbo" steelbooks - Blu-ray Forum

So I ordered my first jumbo steelbook and received it yesterday...

couldn't tell from the pics how "jumbo" it really is haha. I'm not too crazy about the look of it.

I got Monsters Inc. for only $20 used. The seller didn't go into much detail and only had pics of the front and back from what I recall. I asked him about spine slashes, and he just said it's in good shape. Well, sure enough it has a spine slash.

Don't know if I should hang onto it or sell it. Are these very "desirable?"

the jumbo Monsters, Inc and Up were some of my first steels...
i grew tired of them pretty quickly and replaced Monsters, Inc with the Kimchi & Up with the BluFans steels...

I couldn’t tell from the seller’s pics what “jumbos” actually are. Guess I should have searched on YouTube. Had I seen I probably would have passed. For $20 though, it’s kinda neat to have something different like this in my collection. Brand new they are going for about $60+.

i believe the walking dead steels are of the larger variety as well...
some people dont mind them but i just wasnt a fan of the style...

Oh I get you. I’m not a fan either, and had I known beforehand I wouldn’t have ordered on Ebay. Couldn’t tell from the pics.

Now that I have it, I don’t mind keeping it as it’s “unique.” Just something different to have.

Season 3 was a jumbo, the other 6 seasons were skinny. Season 3 was actually re-released in France as a skinny.

I loathed that Walking Dead season 3 steelbook so much, it looked so odd in the middle of the other 6. So bought another one and modded them into normal sized steelbooks, Parts 1(3 discs) and 2 (2 discs). They both fit nicely in that jumbo sized G-card too and the set looks 'normal' now LOL
