Wow....talk about pulling me back into the world of Doom. I have the previous one sitting in my Steam account, never played. I better get crackin' because this one looks ridiculously bada$$! When's the potential release date?

Rage 2 is gonna be early 2019, so I think Doom will be late 2019.

I don't see Doom 2 coming out any later than May next year. That was the release date of the last game and they've been at work on this for two years. They showed a ton of gameplay yesterday (more than most reveals usually show) and it looks almost ready to go.

Maybe, just I'm thinking Bethesda is gonna slot Rage 2 for the May 2019 slot instead and then (also possibly to allow Panic Button sometime to work on their port too) release Doom in late September/early October, especially assuming we don't get Starcraft in 2019. But just speculating.

Id Software's Wolfenstein and Doom re-imaginings have been amazing FPS experiences. This looks like a blast too!! Can't wait.

Actual games directly from the ID stable are rare, with Wolfenstien being handled by Machine Games and Rage 2 being co-developed by Avalanche Studios. It's been said in the past that ID want to see a total reboot of the original 'gothic sci-fi' version of Quake 1 (rather than the Humans Vs Strogg Menace of Quake 2 and 4), shame there was no word (if any) of such a thing in even tentative development...

I think the name is cool and the new weapon is awesome. Looks like there will be more variety in the environments this time which is nice.

Bring on the Quake Reboot next!!

Would love to see a Heretic/Hexen game based off of the latest Doom engine. After Raven Software who has the copyright?

I believe Raven is owned by Activision so they have the development rights but Id has the publishing rights.

Hope they fix it for a way we can get infinity ammo for weapons like we have been getting in every Doom game so far. Make playing the game even more funner.

Nothing yet. I've heard rumors about a May release date, but we'll just have to wait and see when they officially announce it.

Not a fan of all the neon in the game but I know why they did it (easier to pick out enemies among the fast moving scenery and HDR). Not a day 1 for me but I'll play it eventually.

Not going to happen. ID have said that they are done with the Quake 2/4 storyline, but they did bring up that they want to remake Quake 1.

As for Doom Infinite, it's just moved up to my most anticipated game of this year. Awesome!
