No it wasn't. The awards show this year heavily favored RDR2. Compared to last year, this years show sucked.

I didn’t enjoy last year’s. But you’re right, it was becoming a RD2 commercial for awhile, but luckily the true GOTY prevailed. I really enjoyed the MK11 and Marvel Alliance 3 reveals, amongst other aspects.

That music was awful. Entertaining trailer. I haven't played a MK game since the original Xbox. Was actually planning on checking out MKXL relatively soon. If I like that game I could get hyped for this.

That was a great fake out, I got super excited when the MK logo popped up.

I really did enjoy the more recent games but MK 1, 2 and 4 are the ones I actually played the most, and was able to do all the moves by heart instead of having to look them up all the time during a game.

Perhaps I'm getting old but I noticed I quickly lost interest with the recent games...

Nah man. You're definitely not alone. It's just so different these days. I feel the same way about the majority of video games and find myself waiting and waiting until something truly mind blowing comes along. Unfortunately, this only rarely happens anymore. With so many boring, uninspired, unoriginal yearly rehashed games and equally many games launching in an utterly broken, incomplete or unfinished state....it's difficult not to to lose interest.

Who was the character towards the end of the trailer? (not Shao Kahn - I know who he is, but the one right before they show him).

That's probably a teaser for a new character who is a part of the "story" they're using for MK 11. They have done it a few times before to intrroduce new characters.

Seeing this trailer really hit home for me how disappointing it is that Tekken got Negan as DLC when it would have been better suited imho being part of MK11

MK9 & MKX were amazing. This one should be no execption. Looks aboslutely fantastic. Crap rap music, but since the game won't actually have this kind of music, I couldn't care less about it. This is a guaranteed day 1 purchase!

Loved the blood and gore in that trailer, but yeah, that music choice was completely abysmal. Still excited for this game though. Love me some Mortal Kombat.

I know I should wait for the GOTY edition that contains all DLCs, but I can't help myself and need to buy this day 1. And then the GOTY edition later on.

In the trailer here, they show a lot of awesome counters and blocks. Is that something they might add to MK11, or is it just to make it look good in the trailer? For a game to evolve to the next level, I'd love to see MK offer more in depth fighting with a few angle options too, aside from just the standard side view.

All optional though, but hopefully they take some risks to improve expectations at game 11 in the series, while still meeting other expectations. Something to make this one really stand out beyond new characters.

In other words, if you could have a fight in the game, with those kinds of moves and blocks, that would be awesome. Looks promising.
