It's MK3 all over again. Great fighting game but disappointing roster because it's missing so many fan favorites and classic characters.

Agreed but since MK2 there has been very little creativity. Most of the characters after 2 look like they've been designed by teenagers.

And Sindel will probably be just brushed aside as usual. She's my husband's favorite character and she is treated like shit when she is one of the MAIN characters.

While I like her character and wouldn't mind seeing her in an MK game again, I wouldn't really call her a "main" character.

To use the Marvel Cinematic Universe as a basis for comparison, if we accept that the like of Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, The Hulk, etc. constitute main characters, Sindel would be more on the level of Vision or Scarlet Witch.

A few of the characters introduced in 3 were definitely pushing being "filler." I certainly wouldn't call Stryker or Kabal main characters. While I would rank Sindel slightly above them purely for her in-story connection to Kitana and Shao Kahn, she's still pretty low on the "totem pole" of the characters from the original three games IMO.

Well without Sindel, there would be no Kitana or Mileena and Shau Khan wouldn't haven't been able to invade Earth Realm without using Sindel's powers.

I know what the plot is. It doesn't change her general ranking in terms of average recognizability and popularity out of all of the characters in this franchise.

I just started playing MKXL. Actually digging it. Been awhile since I played a MK game. I'll have to definitely check out MK11. They've used Freddy, Jason, and Leatherface as DLC. Here's hoping to get Michael Myers for MK11.
