I have been the obnoxious person in comment sections of Indiewire correcting spelling for a bit now! I think entertainment papers are trying to be the first to get the scoop that they don’t check spelling or grammar.

I'll be honest, i thought the first movie was meh and the fact it tried to copy a far superior story from the game almost like for like and failed was even more interesting. However i did like a few things they did to differentiate the movies and set up their own slice of drama with the twist at the end

Hopefully the sequel is much more its own thing and being more of sn original it can be far superior.

I enjoyed the first one. Alicia owned the role, despite the film being a bit generic, and I was bummed it didn't do better at BO. I hope this film happens. I'm certainly looking forward to it. The first movie layed solid foundation for the world of Lara and for her character.

also it felt like one of those straight to Blu Ray type movies to me or like an early days Netflix movie

I'm so happy about this. Enjoyed the first a lot and didn't think we'd get a sequel with Vikander back. I hope it gets good reviews and has a good release date that isn't too competitive so hopefully it can do better than the first. The first had too much competition. Black Panther was still doing great. The second weekend the Action crowd got Pacific Rim: Uprising. The weekend after was Ready Player One. Then A Quiet Place. I missed it in theaters but after watching it on Blu-ray was disappointed I did. I'll be sure to support this one in theaters.

I just hope this isn't one of those sequels that probably won't materialize like ones for Atomic Blonde (though I'd rather have a sequel to this if I had to choose) or Edge of Tomorrow.

Did not expect this at all but really pleasantly surprised! I didn't think the first was amazing, but I definitely liked it and thought there was a lot of potential for a sequel.

I really liked Alicia in the first one, but they need to tone-down the bobbins and increase the Lara doing her thing in the second one. Lara going through the enemy camp was great, the other stuff ... not so much.

Really enjoyed the first film and I especially liked the humor that was used at the end of the film. Looking forward to the sequel.

Honestly, I'm much more excited over this news than the new Star Wars trailer drop and title reveal. Vikander is perfect. Very much looking forward to tracking this progress.
