so basically we will get the same cliche'd group of individuals stuck in a rut full of deadly traps. The only difference here will be the Billy doll will be voiced by Rock and full of obscene annoying humor. I.E. "Make Your Choice, Game ****in' Over!"

If Danny McBride could help revive Halloween, I don't see why Chris Rock doing the same for Saw is something to be mocked.

Oh great, another dead horse being beaten with a stick! they are gonna turn this franchise into a joke and it's already been after 3. It's becoming overkill already.

I'm just so tired of some of these dead horror franchises and their icons like Freddy, Jigsaw, Leatherface etc. coming back over and over again, i'd rather have new horror franchises and icons already, let this franchise just die and rest in peace already and move on.

Interesting. I’ve only seen the first two films but have owned them all for awhile now. At the very least this news has prompted me to order a cheap 4K copy of Jigsaw and give the complete series a watch in the immediate future.

I don't know what is it with comedy filmmakers and the horror genre that blend in so well. Jordan Peele and Danny McBride weren't the first ones either. There is John Landis from An American Werewolf in London, Jonathan Demme from The Silence of the Lambs, and arguably Sam Raimi from Evil Dead who worked on Three Stooges parodies before becoming a well establish director. I'm probably forgetting a few others, but that's all I can think of off the top of my head. So yeah, we should give Chris Rock the benefit of the doubt.

And don't forget that many of the people involved in the new SAW have been there since, or almost since the beginning. Perhaps most notably is returning director Darren Lynn Bousman. Hopefully they secured Tobin Bell, although it must be difficult trying to write him in at this point in the series.
