Hopefully Activision uses 2 discs this time instead of requiring a download. I won't buy any game that requires a download.
Damn so you stopped buying games when?

I've played over 200 games on Playstation 4. Not a single one of them required a download.

You played over 200 game on the Playstation where 180 them could have benefited and performed better with a patch

Either way, we've had this convo before....more power to you for your stance.

My view, if I'm paying a shed load for consoles and games I want it to be as good as it can be, if that means connecting to the big bad web them so be it

If a patch provides a major improvement then that means there will be a major downgrade when that patch is no longer available. I'd much rather stick with something that I know can never be downgraded.

In the case of Call of Duty: WW2, Black Ops 4, and possibly Modern Warfare they can be downgraded to nothing. When the patches are no longer available the games won't be playable at all.

Guys help me out here, I'm confused:

This is Modern Warfare, but there was already a Modern Warfare. Is this a different game with the same name as the other game, or is it the same game as before? And if it's a different game why would it have the same name as a different game?

Crap I just confused myself worse

Also be sure not to confuse this new game with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered (which is the same game as Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare).

If they had named it Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 they'd have a similar problem. I guess they thought it was better to drop the 4 rather than move it.

Haven't been excited about a cod game since 2011 .. Not including the remasters.

This looks fabulous hopefully with all the good word of mouth and hopefully good sales activation will stop making crap and get back to what works after having declining sales for so long

It’s the only 2019 game for Activision so hopefully it’s good.

Activision slaps their label on Sekiro & Crash & market the game. Activision gives IW money to make COD Modern Warfare.

With Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Infinity Ward is not only re-introducing a single-player mode which was abandoned in Black Ops 4 last year, but t’s even doing new things in terms of gameplay narrative.

According to impressions from multiple outlets who have attended the preview events, the Modern Warfare campaign will have gamers play from the perspective of an Arab soldier. What’s more, according to ArsTechnica, this won’t just be a section of the game, but the entire second half!

The development team is doing this in part to usher in a first for the series: an entire half of the campaign played from the perspective of an Arab soldier.

Of course, it’s safe to assume that other parts of the Modern Warfare campaign will have the player in the shoes of Tier 1 Operators same as before. Given the game’s in first-person, I gather the Arab soldier perspective will have some rather uncomfortable moments, which is what Infinity Ward might be going for.
Speaking of the Modern Warfare campaign, Polygon’s preview of the game mentions John “Soap” McTavish will be making a return!

While the game will bring back Tier 1 operators, including SAS operatives Captain John Price and John “Soap” McTavish, both reimagined for Modern Warfare, we’ll also see how war affects rebels and freedom fighters from their first-person perspective.

According to CharlieIntel, Infinity Ward mentioned that while Captain Price was indeed confirmed to be coming back, the studio declined to comment on other returning characters. This could possibly a misunderstanding by Polygon, or they might have just slipped something up without knowing that they did.

I guess every 10 years we should get a new modern warfare since the warfare in the old one is no longer modern anymore right? SO I guess calling this one Modern Warfare makes sense, right?
