Well that was terrible. It's just a hot mess of ideas without characters or relationships or motivations to carry them. Some of the ideas are fine, but the filmmakers don't seem to know what to do with them, or how to put them together, and in the end it all just feels empty. Like there and complicated or mind-bendy movies that have heft, where the high concept is in service to theme or character, and then there's this, where it just feels like it was just layers piled on top of each other just for the sake of having more layers. The actors work valiantly to sell it but there's just not much there there for them to sell.
