Default Titane (dir. Julia Ducournau)

Deadline

Quote:

Neon has acquired North American rights to writer-director Julia Ducournauís Titane, a new French film about, well, weíll find out later. TitaneĎs plot ďis being kept under wraps,Ē Neon says, and casting has yet to be announced.

What is known is that the acquisition marks Neonís second of a French film this year, following the distributorís Cannes acquisition Portrait of a Lady on Fire, which won the festivalís best screenplay award and is considered likely to be an Oscar contender.

Titane is produced by Jean Christophe Reymond (Kazak Productions), and is Ducournauís directorial follow-up to her 2016 horror film Raw, winner of Cannesí FIPRESCI prize.

The film is about "a young man who claims to be a child who disappeared 10 years ago, and in true Ducournau fashion, it features a lot of gruesome murder."
