Here is the trailer for the upcoming Malayalam flick TRANCE, directed by Anwar Rasheed and starring Fahadh Faasil in the lead. Going by the songs and the trailer, Fahadh's character seems to be a motivational speaker-turned-demigod, undoubtedly with lots of grey shades. Lensed by Amal Neerad and audiographed by Resul Pookutty, the film also features Nazriya, Vinayakan, Soubin, Dileesh Pothen, Chemban Vinod and the celebrated Tamil director Gautam Menon in supporting roles. Having taken more than two years to shoot plus multiple release date delays, the film finally comes to cinemas on Feb 20.

Puliss ki vardi, Sher ka Dum... Cop-Universe mein Gravity Kum? Check. Desh-Premi and Desh-Drohi classification of perceived minorities? Check. Cliched low-angle establishing shot of the terrorist mastermind (Jackie Shroff) ? Check. Hilariously botched chroma-keyed VFX with the Khiladi himself seemingly oblivious of stuff exploding right behind him? Check. . . Thanks to COVID-19, cinemas here have been shut down till end of March, and many high-profile releases due for release this month have been delayed indefinitely. And almost immediately following the shutdown, this biggie has shown up in Prime, with Full HD video and DD 5.1 audio (which frankly, doesn't even come close to the theatrical mix).
