I enjoyed Euphoria, but I also do not have children. I also enjoyed Sex Education as well. Two pretty different shows. If your looking for more of a comedy, then obviously sex education. If your into more of the dark twisted stuff then Euphoria hands down.

I must be getting old, because neither particularly appeal to me. Can’t think of anything more pathetic and cringeworthy than the sexual shenanigans of teenagers.

I have to older brothers who have daughters. One is a teen that just started high school, the other is in middle school. I don't have any children, but I coach children a lot, and I build rapports with all of them, so they know I'm not just a tennis coach but I care about their lives and academics too. Remember, you can raise your kid the rightest way possible and they still will have curiosity to try stuff, and you can't let yourself take all the blame if something bad happens. Just from talking to the kids and teens I coach... you can't be an overbearing father. You don't wanna be super strict or super free. Be their best friend when they need it, so they can be open and trust you, but don't be so imposing they feel they have to tell you everything. Teens especially should be able to appreciate some level of privacy and curiosity. I've dealt with a lot of overbearing helicopter parents, and I've always dealt with parents who really weren't even paying attention to what was in front of them. As long as you instill the right values, and tell them that mistakes happen and you learn from them, it's really the best thing you could do. |

While they are both entertaining to watch, I would`t call them very realistic nor very good, Sex Education is more of trying to be a comedy and Euphoria is more trying to be dark and twisted. However some of the visuals and camera moves in Euphoria are nice.

From memories of high school Euphoria honestly isn’t too far off. The whole Nate as a villain plot is far fetched, but its portrayal of drugs and sex...oh yeah that happened. I knew kids way worse than whats on the show too. I also knew girls who would meet older guys at this shady motel. It was gross. One girl that my buddy had a crush on would brag about how she only liked guys who could get arrested for having sex with her. It took him forever to stop crushing on her.
I love Euphoria. |

Sex Education has better characters and better writing. It's an all-around better show. I'd even say it's the best teen-relevant series right now.
Euphoria isn't bad, but it often coasts by on shock value. Which frankly, isn't even all that shocking given the state of the world. Sam Levinson's previous movie Assassination Nation is SO MUCH better. I recently started Elite on NetFlix, and that seems like a better comparison to Euphoria. It's a trashy teen soap that doesn't hold back on the sex scenes. In other words: it's R-rated Degrassi. |

I love sex education but definitely need to check out Euphoria. Don’t have HBO anymore though:/
