I'm SO EXCITED for this but it looks like Ubisoft doesn't really want all my money. The CE is PC and Xbox only and the steelbook is a Gamestop exclusive. Based on everything people have said I have zero faith in pre-ordering from Gamestop. Also, $130 for the UE when the Odyssey equivalent was ~$10-20 cheaper.
As excited as I am, I might just wait for the PS5 preorder and see if the contents are different. As long as I secure a steelbook and end up with the most DLC out the gate, I'm happy. Last edited by StarkRomanoff; 05-01-2020 at 04:58 AM. |

Those 6 +Limited Edition from Amazon, +Drakkar Edition which are variations of each other. So a potential x8 versions at least as well as any other variation that could be store-specific I haven't seen yet.
Also, the steel-book versions on the Ubi site seem to be a US-only thing from what I can tell. I can't complain too much though. The Odyssey edition version I had was expensive, but it came with the season pass Atlantis DLC. That alone was worth it, even though most probably moved on and never got to it. I was on that for at least 30 hours. And there was another DLC, not that good, but more story that extended the AC lore.. |

I have never played Odyssey but hope to at some point. Did play Origins and it was pretty solid overall but i did hear Odyssey did go bigger and end up a little unwieldy so hopefully Valhalla ends up a better balance for those that had issues.
That said, i play the crap out of side quests in stuff like Horizon and Spider-Man but if they're just repetitive copy and paste quests then nobody can honestly say that's a good thing i reckon because then it's just padding. |

This is the biggest launch game so far (as of this day and date) for the Next Gen, so this edges out my chance to get a PS5 over the X2, as i think the 1X has a lot of mileage left in it. I fully anticipate parity on both the X2 and PS5 for this title.

Personally i'd buy on a PC if it was the more powerful version of the game but a part of me thinks because it's such a large open world, that PS5s loading time via NVMe will be really nice and there might not be much in the graphics to split them except on the highest PC specs.

I'm considering buying the Ultimate Edition from Ubisoft Store EU, but I'm wondering if anyone has had any experience ordering games from that store and if they only sells digital editions of their games or if it's possible to get a physical version?

Ideally I want it for PS5 but if history repeats itself for me (couldn’t get a PS4 at launch, sold out everywhere) I’ll get it on PS4. Either way I’ll be playing this day 1
