I'm getting this version. So, this will be my 2nd PS5 game pre-ordered so far.

Odyssey's DLC was pretty damn cool so I might get an edition that includes the season pass too.

Iíve seen all 3 major Ubisoft games gameplay except Far Cry 6 which was all cinematic.

Am not looking forward to AC anymore, nor Watch Dogs.

They all look & play the same.

Legion's cinematic trailer looked far better than the gameplay.

FC6 should hopefully be good.

What's crazy to me as that for both Assassin's Creed and Watch Dogs: Legion, even with things like next-gen hardware and ray-tracing, the character animations and overall graphical fidelity, still looks unbelievably out-dated and antiquated.

Ubisoft have turned into such a garbo studio.

If youíve never played the previous 2, youíll probably enjoy this game.

It shares the exact end game quest mechanics of 1&2. That is why Iím not interested anymore. Been there done that.. Twice.

As for AC, itís a new coat of paint on Odyssey.

Far Cry 6 will probably have similarities to 5, hopefully a good story to go along with the hilarious chaos. Should also be a fun sandbox co-op game.

I really like Watch Dogs 1 & 2 but Legion doesnít look that interesting to me. Iíll probably get it later down the line when itís on sale cheap. This looks great though. Been a fan of the Assassinís Creed since the first game & have played most of the games, all the mainline console ones & a few of the handheld ones.

Saying "wtf is wrong with Valhalla" with a giant arrow pointing towards the protagonist and another male kissing is a big ol' red flag, and I have no intentions of clicking on a video that looks like it's homophobic to hear some weirdo youtuber rant about it.

I'll save you having to listen to the macho screaming.

Short of it is they're mad that they have inaccurate sexuality in a game where back in the day they removed a crossbow from the game because it was historically inaccurate to have it in the game. They seem to think homosexuality didn't exist in Viking era and that a man would be murdered if they dared ask another man to lay in bed with him. I guess they didn't do much research on it?

Other than that they make valid points about the games animations looking like trash which is fair.

Not gonna step onto that particular mine and personally as long as the game allows us to explore our own choices and make them, i say "Live and Let Live" given they're going to become an ever increasing part of games in the future based on current trends.

Personally from what i have seen so far, the games animations and overall look is quite trash looking to me and that's a bigger issue.

They've already said all the romances are gonna be optional so there is no reason to complain about the existence of queer rep in Valhalla that isn't homophobic. The animations though, there are several reasons to complain.

Already posted my feelings about that awful video in the PS5 version's thread, but it is surprising about the animations. It was never a glaring issue in Origins or Odyssey. Hopefully it's just an early build, as there's no reason for this game to take such a step back there.

Well I'm in for Valhalla, personally. I like the setting, it feels very different from the past couple of AC games, which I thought were very similar and related to each other. This one feels very much along the lines of a Witcher or Game of Thrones, but with fortress raids and hopefully more satisfying feeling combat, especially after being used to Tsushima... Will see how it goes.

I may be one of the few here to be impressed overall by the 'big three' coming from Ubisoft, but admittedly not played as many Ubisoft games as some have here, though still plenty.

It honestly wouldn't surprise me. This game started development in 2018, from the origins team. I think Ubisoft really pushed them to get it out the door. Combine Covid into that, and it's not a pleasant mix. The footage might be janky, and the game could fully deliver, but it's also possible the game launches as a mess as well. I love the AC franchise, and I'm a descendent of Vikings, so this one had a big personal pull to me... but I don't know if I'll pick it up right away. I may have to wait and see. (Also a 130 dollar ultimate edition potentially the same week as the new consoles is a big ask. I have the cyberpunk collectors edition on the 19th and that's something I may need to pass on too. Looooottta money the same time period.)

The landscapes in these games are probably great for exploration as the main reason I play these types of open world games, but after seeing the highly detailed cinematic trailer they first revealed of the game, and then finally seeing the downgraded gameplay graphics, this is best played with a PS4 game mindset, since this doesn't look next generation at all IMO in terms of graphics for a PS5 game as they suggested.

At the same time, graphics don't make a game great, it's the gameplay that does. So I can imagine those who have been enjoying the gameplay of the series will probably not be too disappointed.

I'll wait for a price drop before considering this one after the cinematic graphics were not real time PS5 graphics afterall. The real time graphics looking like a PS4 game, not next generation. It's still early of course for PS5 to develop. I really don't understand why Ubisoft, after suffering their downgrade controversy of Watch Dogs 1 in 2014, continue to create upgraded cinematic previews for their games, building up the hype and then showing the real game play graphics that can't even get close.
