Really looking forward to it!
49.99 was the standard price on new games in the PS1 and PS2 era.

I like the modern and retro options, modern being you have unlimited lives and the retro option being like the old games where you have to collect loves and they can run out. Really looking forward to this one

I'm a masochist, so I'll opt for the classic option. If all else fails, I'll do what I often do when playing the early Crash games: replay the first level and over and over again until I have 99 lives.

Count me in on the excited train too. I never played any crash games past 3 (save Wrath of Cortex, which I played like one world), so I never really got the sour taste for Crash. Loved the remake trilogy, and this looks just as fun. I may wait for it to come down in price, but if I hear good enough things, I'll gladly pay full price just to support the developers.

I'll wait for impressions, if it's on par with the quality of 1-3, I'm interested

as for the price, the ps4 R&C was $40 (IIRC?), the Crash trilogy as well, so I do think $40 is a more fitting price for this

The 100+ levels has me a bit more convinced, the microtransactions have me a bit concerned.

RE: Microtransactions

Quote:
We're seeing confusion about #MTX in @CrashBandicoot 4 and want to be Gem stone clear: There are NO MICROTRANSACTIONS in #Crash4. As a bonus, the Totally Tubular skins are included in all digital versions of the game.

Yeah I'm taking back my "not a $60 game" comments. It absolutely is.

Still waiting for BF though lol

I am a tad more sold on it, maybe not day one but sometime down the line. Iím wish they followed suit with the N Sane aesthetic but the soundtrack and sound effects are spot on.

Gameplay looks pretty spot on (though the running animations look a bit odd). Think my main issue with the redesign at this point is the colours, which are a bit more washed out than the usual Crash vibrancy. It still looks nice though. It looks fantastic on its own terms. N'Sane Trilogy was pretty much spot on for me though.

Still can't wait to play this.

I am more excited for this game than I probably should be. So great to see the respect for the games that came before while also introducing tons of new elements. Didn't realize it was coming out so soon!

Will I was going to buy it but not know sense we have to switch characters. When a game is named after the character then I don’t have to play anyone else.

I take it you never played Crash Bandicoot: Warped, then? Considering Coco has some of her own levels in that game.

But....but.....you obviously love Batman! Does that mean you've never played Arkham City or Arkham Knight? Or LEGO Batman?

Switching characters helps add variety! You could be missing out on some great games by only playing ones where you don't switch characters!
