There's stock on the 3090 in my area but I have a hard time justifying the price tag over the 3080...still tempting though lol

Finally broke down and got the EVGA 3090 FTW3...I feel shame...not. It's amazing. Now wondering if I should get the Samsung Odyssey G9. I have a Acer Predator X34 right now. Decisions.

My son has the plane Jane 3060 and he loves it. I think my 3090 is pretty amazing as well. I got a Samsung Odyssey G9 to go with it and have been having a blast!!

It is a lost cause as long as major vendors don't care these cards will continue to be bought up and resold at 2 to 3 times the cost by bots.

You cant even find a 10 series card right now, never mind a 2 or lol 3 series! Only store that i have seen to actually try and get product into real peoples hands is Micro Center, problem is they have only like 15 stores in the entire country, other then that nearly all other online vendors just allow their stock of product to be poached by resellers and simply do not care!

I have a 3080, but can’t finish my build because I can’t buy a new CPU (either 5900x or 5950x). It’s the only part I have left to buy. I’ve given up looking for the next month or two.

You could at least buy a slighter lower end chip, actual they had some damn good deals on procs over the last few weeks, the i9 chip i bought was listed at half the price over this last weekend. But yes those high end amd chips, like the gpus, are bought up and resold at a premium. The GPU market is complete trash right now, only stuff available are literally half decade old budget chips.

It is getting to the point that i am starting to question if this is intentional by these card makers. How is it in the 20+ years of pc gaming that i have never ever before seen shortages like this. Sure new top end models were difficult to come by at times but for the most part there was plenty of inventory.

It’s because of COVID. Anything to do with staying home and working/learning from home is flying off physical and digital shelves.

Yes but the US has been closed to China for the better part of the year. Chinese imports have all but stopped on this country, getting customs clearance during this time is a nightmare that even a company like Ford cant get past. IE the Bronco and F-150 being delayed until 2021.
