Iíll pick it up. I miss this series and want to show thereís support for more... but holy hell man, what is up with this game? It looks like a hot mess of a ps3 title. Very shocking honestly. I expect better now that weíre in the era of RE2/3, Spyro, crash, demons souls, etc.

I thought this exactly. It looks like a re-release of a PS3 game. Not even a particularly good looking PS3 game.

My first thought was it doesn’t even look good for a PS3 game. Such a shame because a true remake with today’s tech could have been a fantastic relaunch for this series that needs to come back. . Please sell the IP to a worthy studio Ubisoft.

Director quote:
ď...Itís a remake because we rebuilt everything from scratch, and we also had the chance to work with motion capture, and to have Yuri and Supinder Wraich as the Princess for the cinematics," he said. "So, motion capture, facial animation, we also re-recorded all the dialogue and all the lines, so thatís why we call it a remake and not a remaster.Ē

Yowza, this is what from the ground up looks like?

It uses the Assassinís Creed engine.

I guess it's just the poor engine then because Valhalla looks like a last gen game from the gameplay they showed.

Or maybe he meant the ps3 AC engine and not the current 2.0 version

They said it was the same engine used for Origins I believe; I donít keep up with those games so Iím not sure if Valhalla uses the same.

What an absolute joke. Like Iíd able to forgive the look if it was the whole trilogy remastered (which I donít think Iím being entitled in saying that should be the case). But £34.99 is an absolute rip off for how this looks.

Wait wait wait, it gets better, the graphics were actually a design choice

The Mako Reactor spoke to Ubisoft India re: the visuals of the Prince Of Persia: Sands Of Time remake

It is also explained that there have been apparently no budget or scheduling issues

I preordered it yesterday because I like PoP and it was my last day of Best Buy Gamer Unlocked

Not sure if I will keep it tho. Not feeling the look.

“We wanted to give it a unique look from other games so we made it like like butt”

This may actually play well...but the visuals are way too bad to get past for me if there isn’t a massive improvement before launch. If you want a unique look, make it stylized for its fantasy setting.

BREATHTAKING GRAPHICAL UPDATES
Immerse yourself in ancient Persia with more realistic graphics, pre-baked rendering, and VFX as you fight cursed enemies along your journey.

Breath-taking, would mean the graphics would take my breath away, but this game's graphics resemble the original game. Wrong words to describe the graphics I'd say.

I'm not sure why they didn't just port the original game then to the PS4. Weird, but I can imagine the game will be fun for fans of the original, even if the graphics resemble the original game.

Even so, despite the graphics, the gameplay is honestly what matters most. If the game is a blast to play, then the hell with the graphics as long as they resemble something. I still enjoy some of the Colecovision classics from the early 80s.

It would have been cool if they did it in the style of the PS3 game (which if they remade that Iíd buy it in a heartbeat).
