I think Seems Like Old Times (1980) & Beverly Hills Ninja (1997) are.

I have fullscreen editions of Terminator 3 (US), The Abyss (US), Joshua Tree/Army of One (US), LOTR:FOTR (CA), The Quest (PL) and Highlander III (PL).

Total Recall, Running Man, T2/Salvation also have open matte fullscreen versions on DVD.

Everyone of them shows more vertical.

I mean I think FMJ was shot open matte same as The Shining and EWS. I'm just not sure about the phrasing on the back DVD cover.

FMJ says "This film has been modified as follows from the original version: It has been formatted to fit your screen."

While Shining and EWS say, "This feature is presented in the full aspect ratio of the original camera negative, as Stanley Kubrick intended."

Maybe Leon Vitali would claim FMJ's preferred version was the theatrical aspect ratio. I'm sure plenty people here know more about this than I do.

And I know there's an open matte of Cronenberg's Crash somewhere. Maybe you want to keep this to US releases only? This is the only one I'm spotting -- https://www.blu-ray.com/dvd/Crash-DVD/167664/

From the 4k review here: https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/The-S...lu-ray/238513/
Quote:
A word about aspect ratios: One slightly controversial element of this 4K restoration (which also extends to the included Blu-ray disc*, as as well as Warner Bros.' 2007 Blu-ray) is its 1.78:1 framing, which is very common for WB catalog releases theatrically framed at 1.85:1. In comparison to that older Blu-ray, this new remaster also appears slightly zoomed-in by a factor of less than 5%, but nothing of great interest is lost. Take all this with a grain of salt, obviously: many home video releases presented The Shining in unmatted 1.33:1, which often ruined some of its more claustrophobic compositions, while some fans have even argued for 1.66:1, AKA "European widescreen". (The excellent Stanley Kubrick Archives squashes that argument, showing a handwritten Kubrick note explaining that his films are composed for 1.85:1 but protected for 1.33:1 TV broadcast.) So while it's disappointing that The Shining doesn't keep its theatrical aspect ratio, this seems to be a fair compromise; after all, 1.78:1 is the new television standard.

I have a copy of Hellraiser III that's open matte. I think it's an Austrian DVD.

I also have the shorter cut of Heavenly Creatures in 1.78:1 (the intended ratio is 2.35).

On my old oppo dvd player it's open matte, but on my sony blu player it plays open matte when output is 480p when the output is set to up convert to 720p or higher it automatically zooms to 1:78 full screen. The quality is terrible, but I thought it was interesting. The only open matte dvd I've found that does that.

I wonder if Jurassic Park might be too. I've seen 35mm film of it that has open matte, so it's certainly possible.

JP open matte version which I'm familiar with has all shots with CGI in 1.78:1.
