IDW won't survive without these licences. They made an awful mess of Rom, Mask and Visionaries, and Transformers was originally on a much better path with Simon Furman before they decided to boot him out and publish countless titles a month, making it all very convoluted.
At least the Wormwood Gentleman Corpse and Ghostbusters comics were (mostly) really good. Considering all the massive continuity problems with Afterlife, I'm still happy to treat the IDW GB comics as my preferred canon instead. |
