Mononoke (TV series) - Worth a blind-buy?

Hey all, I stumbled across an anime called Mononoke while searching for the Ghibli title a while back, and I was wondering if it's worth a blind-buy. Best Buy currently has the DVD on sale for $9.99, which is pretty good. It look really unique visually. I read it's a spin-off of Ayakashi: Samurai Horror Tales, which I also haven't seen. Would I need to see that first to get into this one? Thanks for any input

I have a few things I wanted to ask:

1. Is the blu-ray regionless?
2. Would there be any special features contained on the blu-ray disc, or other things within the blu-ray package?
3. Are there any stretch goals planned for the Kickstarter/Ubugoe?
4. Is it possible for there to be any theatrical releases of the movie beyond Japan?

1. The Blu-ray will be region-free.
2. At this stage, there will be no special features in the Blu-ray package.
3. Stretch goals are currently under consideration. We will let you know as soon as it is decided.
4. We are currently considering theatrical release outside of Japan

Makes me wonder since it is getting a theater release in Japan from what I can gather, if it will get a BD release later just minus the English subtitles.
