I wouldn't think it would have a slip, since none of their standard releases have them, at least from what I can think of. I wonder if the pic is accurate, or if they just used a stock pic of the LE box set?

That’s a stock pic. Even if there was a slipcover it wouldn’t be that wide because they’re going to put the two discs in one case this time round.

Damn. They really got my ass with that overpriced limited edition. I went ahead and ordered it last month from deep discount because I didn’t want to miss out on the two disc set.

Apart from ordering from Diabolik DVD and directly from ViaVision, is there anywhere else that ships to the UK that I may buy this release from?

The total cost including shipping from Diabolik comes to around £70; ViaVision is better (£40) but still quite dear- is there a better option?

I would say I'm annoyed that I got suckered into the limited edition, but the standard is still expensive as hell. I think I only paid about $15ish more for the limited. What, exactly, is the difference between the editions? The limited having the large cardboard case? That it? What a joke.

Same here. If I'd known they would be releasing a standard edition also, I would have just held off and waited for that one. And you're right, $32 for a standard edition is expensive.

I passed on this one because most Imprint releases ultimately get better or at least matching ones in the US or UK. Surely someone will eventually put out the theatrical version here.

The most standard edition you could possibly imagine - which would be totally fine, if not for the price. Definitely wait for a sale, if you ask me - it's a bit of a rip at the current price.

Oddly enough it's $10 cheaper at JB NZ. Which of course is bugger all use to anyone outside NZ.

Maybe they're already factoring in a lower price point by the new year, as I see it won't be available in NZ until January 12.

The useless director's cut just got a steelbook re-release. Either someone up high in Paramount hates the original theatrical version or maybe (fingers crossed), it's being remastered for a future 4K release.

All Imprint titles get delayed releases here, and they're always $35 for single disc titles. The LE was also delayed here and that was $70.

Imprint uses the same master that's been around forever. The theatrical cut has been up on iTunes for a decade, I know because I bought it. Has nothing to do with being "exclusive."
