Since no one has started a thread for this yet, I figured I'd better. I already own all of the movies in the set but will be getting this just for the new extras and because it's just so beautiful. Will look awesome next to the Warriors box.

Who else is selling organs to finance this when it comes out?

Still trying to figure out what the story with this one is with imprint. It gets announced on socials and is shown to be spine numbers 164-169. Then nothing official on their website shows it's coming, nor is it for pre-order, yet subsequent releases with spine numbers 170-177 are put up for pre-order already. Is there a delay?

No idea, but I'd be willing to bet it's the same one Twilight Time used. Pretty sure every single Imprint release thus far has been from existing, older masters provided by the studios.

My concern is with Johnny Handsome, which is the most problematic of the bunch. The decade+ old Lionsgate Blu-ray is looking really ragged these days. I'm hoping Imprint can at least do a little better.

Either way, I'm getting this for the extras, not because I'm expecting any revelations picture or sound-wise.

I'd put put money on it being the same transfer. But yes, I'd be in for the extras too. There are some on the old Lionsgate jobby which are likely gonna be on this too, but I think there's an audio commentary, etc, as well.

It's been a while since I viewed my copy, but I recall the local release of The Driver from a few years back looking decent. This set will probably feature the same transfer.

Funnily enough, looks like the Studio Canal BD version of The Driver is also coming out here. Guess it'll be a double-up for many unless Imprint is just porting the new transfer.

My initial thought was this had been delayed because Studio Canal is releasing The Driver themselves. Now you've confirmed that a Studio Canal edition of The Driver is coming out here, it looks like Imprint couldn't come to terms with SC on distribution rights. My guess is they have sourced an older, cheaper master, possibly from a US distributor instead. And are holding off the release a few months until SC version of the driver has been out for a while. Hope I'm wrong, but it's the imprint way a lot of the time. This boxset won't be definitive that's for sure. Glad I imported the 4k edition of The Driver from the U.K.

The fact this doesn't include Streets of fire is also a major letdown. Unsurprisingly, Kino are releasing a 4k edition of Streets Of Fire soon.
